Ubisoft has outed the existence of The Division 3 — the next game in its looter shooter series. The title is currently in early development, and that's pretty much all we've got to go on. Just to give you an idea of what 'early' means, the team at Massive Entertainment — the lead developer on both of the previous Division games — is now recruiting for the project. So yeah, it's early.
The current creative director on Star Wars Outlaws, Julian Gerighty, is taking on the role of The Division series' producer, but he's obviously got his hands full right now with the aforementioned adaptation. In any case, it's clear that Ubisoft wants the franchise to get back on track. The Division 2 is over four years old at this point, and we honestly assumed that we would have seen a sequel by now.
«It’s a privilege and an honor to be able to continue to build incredible and unforgettable experiences in this amazing world with the most talented teams around the world, and I can’t wait for what’s next,» says Gerighty.

Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
That's cool and all but where's Rayman Origins 3?
Or Rabbids Land 2 I would take that
Yes please. I love the series.
Nice, I like the 2nd one, I bought it cheap with new york expansion. I may buy the 3rd game full price if it didn't have always online requirements for the single player story.
I like the division.so more the division is welcome.word up son
I would, but with a stronger story. And what happened to Heartlands? Isn't that supposed to be coming out this year?
I know it's an RPG style I hope they make the enemies less bullet spongy or give us the option to turn it off. Give us options like we had in Ghost Recon and I'll be happy.
I'm kinda surprised with the free to play one coming. That said I'm pretty happy with the news.
I enjoyed the first one but frankly barely touched 2. I thought it came out too quickly and wasn't really different enough to me.
Curious which city they will put it in. Having spent most of my life in the DC area it was wild to get into firefights in areas based on where I use to play as a kid lol. Seems like it's a ways out though which is a bummer.
Wow! I was not expecting this to ever show up after that awful Heartland.
Division 2 is one of my favourite games of all time so I am booked on the first hype-train out of the station.
Wait, why do we know it's The Division 3 and not another expansion to 2? I
