While Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has built up hype due to its zaniness (and possible returning locations), Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name arrives in early November. It follows Kazuma Kiryu after the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, as he works under the code name Joryu.
Similar to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, it will feature English voice-acting to go with the localization. Unfortunately, the dub won’t be available when the game launches. YouTuber Yong Yea, the English voice of Kiryu in Gaiden and Infinite Wealth, confirmed this in a new tweet.
“Since Like A Dragon: Gaiden is a few weeks away and many may not know about this, thought I should let you know the English dub will not be available on the launch date and will release as a post-launch patch (no official date yet). Hope you’ll look forward to it!”
Stay tuned for more details on when the English dub will arrive. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is available on November 9th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It will also launch on day one for Game Pass. The release includes a trial version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth with scenes absent from the main game.
