The previously hinted-at LEGO Star Wars minifigure of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor protagonist Cal Kestis has finally been confirmed as part of an upcoming Imperial Star Destroyer set. While the popular LEGO Star Wars line has primarily focused on the Star Wars movies and shows, there have been sets and minifigures based on the numerous video games over the years. In addition to collectible versions of famous Star Wars gaming characters like Starkiller and Darth Malek, the lovable BD-1 from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order had a model based on it back in 2022.
Rumor had it that Cal Kestis would be joining his faithful droid counterpart as a LEGO minifigure, and it was believed that he would be packaged with a Death Star set released to commemorate the LEGO Star Wars line’s 25th anniversary. This would later be supported by Cal’s appearance in a recent LEGO Star Wars promotional video, in which he and BD-1 dived in to help Saw Gerrera and the crew of the Ghost from Star Wars Rebels battle Imperial Stormtroopers before joining the other plastic heroes of the Galaxy Far, Far Away for a group photo.
It has now been officially confirmed that a LEGO minifigure version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Cal Kestis will be released alongside the upcoming 25th anniversary Imperial Star Destroyer set, which is now available to pre-order on Amazon. This buildable battleship is slated to be released on August 1 and will reportedly cost $159.99. Cal Kestis will come packaged with his trusty lightsaber and a buildable character stand. Other LEGO characters included in the set are Darth Vader, Commander Praji, an Imperial Gunner, an Imperial Navy Trooper, and a Stormtrooper.
Cal Kestis’s inclusion in an Imperial Star Destroyer LEGO set may seem a bit random at first, as the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor protagonist isn’t immediately associated with the Empire’s dreaded war vessel. However, this does continue the LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary line’s tendency to place unrelated exclusive minifigures in its sets. For example, the previously-mentioned Darth Malek of Knights of the Old Republic fame came packaged with an R2-D2 set, while Saw Gerrera was included in a model of Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator from The Phanom Menace.
Nonetheless, fans who have been looking forward to seeing Cal Kestis in LEGO Star Wars minifigure form have an official confirmation that he is indeed on the way as the exclusive bonus for the LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer set that will be released in August. In the meantime, players are still awaiting news of the third Star Wars Jedi game, which was last hinted at in a job listing at developer Respawn Entertainment.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Fallen Order, which was also

Although Star Wars has become a fixture of movie culture over the generations, it's also left a signature stamp on the world of video games. From LEGO spin-offs and NES movie adaptations to pod-racing simulators, it's hard to talk to someone about games they loved as a kid without the words Star Wars cropping up in there somewhere.
In its continuing quest to become Everything to Everyone, Fortnite has shapeshifted, The Thing-like, into a new Lego Star Wars game. The Lego Fortnite survival mode has been expanded with a new, permanent Star Wars world, with this weekend - which includes May the Fourth, don’tcha know - also kicking off a new battle pass and bringing additions to every other part of Fortnite: whether you’re playing it as a battle royale shooter (remember that?), racing game or music-rhythm successor to Guitar Hero.
The Minikit from the video games has finally been released in real life. The Minikit first appeared 19 years ago in 2005's as a collectible item and became a mainstay in the series' future titles. There were 10 hidden Minikits in each level — and 60 per Episode — that could form a miniature LEGO recreation of an iconic ship once players had acquired them all, with using them as a way to unlock extra playable characters as well.
Thank your own personal deity—possibly C-3PO as worshipped by Ewoks—it's Friday! Obviously, the two biggest headliners are those freebies—LEGO Star Wars III and Tomb Raider [2013]. Whip up a free (and easily ditched) Amazon Prime Gaming subscription to have and to hold them forever in your GOG library. I recently replayed Lara's reboot as part of the ongoing gaming education of my eldest. Still stands up as a well-Crofted action adventure.
