Lego did a lot during the build to May 4 to celebrate this year's Star Wars Day, but the Star Wars celebrations for the toy bricks makers aren't over yet. 2024 marks 25 years since the first ever Lego Star Wars sets and the ways in which Lego wants to mark the occasion will continue. Next up is an Imperial Star Destroyer set that's already available on Amazon, and one of the Minifigures included is the long-rumored Cal Kestis one.
The Lego Store doesn't appear to have a listing for the Star Destroyer set yet, but its Amazon listing is already live, available to pre-order now ahead of its release on August 1 through the link in the box below. Made up of 1,555 pieces and priced at $159.99, the Star Destroyer will be 18 inches long and stand six inches high once complete. Darth Vader - complete with his red lightsaber - and Commander Praji Minifigures are among the seven characters included with the set, and Kestis will be its 25th-anniversary figure.
Kestis being included in a Star Destroyer set continues Lego's trend of adding its anniversary figures to unrelated sets as part of Lego Star Wars 25th birthday. Darth Malak from Knights of the Old Republic was included in the newest R2-D2 set, for example. It has been rumored for months that the Jedi: Fallen Order star would be immortalized in Lego for the first time at some point this year. However, the initial rumor suggested Kestis would make his Lego bow as part of a Death Star set rather than a Star Destroyer one.
Lego's Imperial Star Destroyer set is 1,555 pieces and was revealed to celebrate Star Wars Day 2024. There are seven Minifigures included, one of which marks the Lego debut of the Jedi games' Cal Kestis.
The Lego Kestis rumor mill ramped back up last week when Lego shared a video celebrating its Star Wars history and despite still not having his own Minifigure, the Jedi was a part of it. The only downside to this reveal is there's no BD-1 in sight despite Kestis's sidekick also making an appearance in the celebratory video. Perhaps BD will get its own figure in a different set, although he does already have his own full Lego build if you want your own version of the droid.
Kestis will return for a third Jedi game, although having only released Survivor a year ago, what will likely be the final game in that particular Star Wars series is probably still a long way off. Just be thankful it's still in development after another Star Wars game at EA - most likely the rumored Mandalorian title - was scrapped. On the Lego Star Wars front, everything announced so far this year is now available to buy, aside from the Star Destroyer set which is up for pre-order and will be released on August 1.

Although Star Wars has become a fixture of movie culture over the generations, it's also left a signature stamp on the world of video games. From LEGO spin-offs and NES movie adaptations to pod-racing simulators, it's hard to talk to someone about games they loved as a kid without the words Star Wars cropping up in there somewhere.
Friday marks the beginning of another x crossover, with content coming to Battle Royale, Lego, Festival, and Rocket Racing. Players can rescue Chewbacca, battle the Empire, Battle Royle, and form a band in the Mos Eisley Cantina. The crossover also adds new weapons, quests, outfits, and more.
Thank your own personal deity—possibly C-3PO as worshipped by Ewoks—it's Friday! Obviously, the two biggest headliners are those freebies—LEGO Star Wars III and Tomb Raider [2013]. Whip up a free (and easily ditched) Amazon Prime Gaming subscription to have and to hold them forever in your GOG library. I recently replayed Lara's reboot as part of the ongoing gaming education of my eldest. Still stands up as a well-Crofted action adventure.
Star Wars and Fortnite have always enjoyed a fruitful partnership, but now Disney’s put its sizeable bank balance behind Epic Games, there was always the possibility of a greater collaboration. And after weeks of teasing, that’s exactly what’s been announced. Beginning from 3rd May, the eve of Star Wars Day, you can expect an epic collaboration with George Lucas’ sci-fi series which will extend to virtually all aspects of the culturally colossal video game platform.
Fortnite has a wave of new Star Wars content planned across all of its connected game modes, with new missions and cosmetics being released in time for this year’s May the Fourth celebration. Fortnite and Star Wars first crossed over to promote Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker back in 2019, with the evil Emperor Palpatine announcing his resurrection in an in-game message. Character skins from the movie were also introduced, allowing Fortnite players to battle it out as Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, and Zorii Bliss.
