Konami has rolled out Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Patch 1.4.0 across Steam, adding new screen and audio setting features.
This new patch is currently only available via Steam, and Konami mentions that the update will be released across other platforms in early January 2024. As said, this new patch adds new screen setting features as well as audio setting features to the collection, including 'smoothing', a screen filter, and new game screen settings. In addition, after installing this new patch, players can change the game volume and main menu volume prior to playing. The game volume can be changed while playing the games. In Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, this new patch adds a "windowed mode", which can be turned on or off.
