Following on from its game, IllFonic has developed an asymmetrical multiplayer game based on the 80s Horror Sci-Fi comedy film, alongside Teravision Games. The title was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live in 2022 with a cinematic trailer that demonstrated the game's zany, humorous tone and confirmed it would also be taking place in the 80s like its movie counterpart.
The premise of is exactly what its title suggests. A clan of evil extraterrestrials who resemble clowns arrive on Earth and invade a small town with the intent to capture, kill, and harvest the human inhabitants to use as sustenance. While it didn't have a big success at the box office, it gained its cult following upon its VHS home release.
is a current-gen exclusive, releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC. This shouldn't be too surprising as the game's reveal trailer made it clear that Illfonic's game would be targeting more photorealistic fidelity settings to better match the designs of the characters in the 1988 movie, which were created through impressive practical effects. Good Shepherd Entertainment also released a Movie vs Game comparison to show how closely Teravision and Illfonic were able to match these visuals.
Despite its more comedic tone, is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title, so its core gameplay should be familiar to those who are fans of . The title sees players take on the role of one of five Killer Klowns to hunt and harvest the population of Crescent Cove using outlandish abilities and zany weapons in teams of three. Alternatively, players can fight back against the alien invasion in a team of seven, in which they will have to collect loot and weapons in a bid to survive. Each team will have dynamic objectives leading to multiple match results, with some PvPvE elements creating a more unique approach to the hide-and-seek gameplay seen in other titles within the genre.

The Tracker is based on Spikey from the film and can also use popcorn to tag the humans, alongside a Balloon Dog that points in their direction. The Tracker can also chase humans down on foot with more traversal options such as vaulting, or can use and Invisible Car in outdoor areas of the map.
