A reputable report has confirmed that gameplay of Assassin's Creed Red will officially debut at the 2024 Ubisoft Forward. The upcoming mainline Assassin's Creed title is set to be released in fiscal year 2025, which extends from April 2024 to March 2025, so an official introduction at Ubisoft's large-scale summer event seems likely.
The Assassin's Creed franchise has been a source of success for Ubisoft. Since the launch of Assassin's Creed Valhalla in 2020 and Assassin's Creed Mirage in 2023, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the next mainline entry. Ubisoft answered their requests by announcing Assassin's Creed: Codename Red at the 2022 Ubisoft Forward, which will take the series to the highly-requested lands of feudal Japan. The company went silent on the game, up until its third-quarter 2024 sales report was issued earlier this year, which mentioned Ubisoft's plans to releaseAssassin's Creed Red in FY2025.
Insider Gaming recently published a report confirming that the official gameplay reveal of Assassin's Creed Red will be featured in this summer's Ubisoft Forward, which is slated for June 10. Fans can likely expect a cinematic trailer revealing Assassin's Creed Red's official title, and a tentative release window alongside it. The leak also asserts that content creators and media outlets will get some hands-on time with the game during the week of Summer Games Fest, the preview embargo for which will lift on June 12.
Ubisoft will also reportedly use Red as a springboard for the launch of Assassin's Creed Infinity, a central hub for the Assassin's Creed universe. Assassin's Creed Infinity will apparently house the modern-day story arc connecting the various entries in the franchise. To enable this, the entire series will transition to a unified engine dubbed the Anvil Pipeline. This will help streamline development and also unlock graphical upsides such as ray-traced global illumination. However, shifting to the Anvil Pipeline has allegedly required a complete revamp of various technical aspects like animations, parkour systems, dynamic weather, etc.
Insider Gaming's track record is near-flawless, which spells great news for those clamoring for more details about the upcoming Assassin's Creed title. Some gameplay details for Assassin's Creed Red were also leaked a while back, claiming an overhauled parkour system, a stealth focus, and gore-heavy combat that echoes Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Moreover, Red will break the series' usual one-protagonist mold by introducing dual playable characters, both embodying real historical figures: the renowned African samurai Yasuke, and a female Assassin named Naoe. With just over a month to go, the June Ubisoft Forward is shaping up to be a must-watch.

A Stardew Valley fan is sharing their concept for a Joja mod that could add a lot to the current experience of siding with Joja Corporation. While Stardew Valley has always had an option for players who would rather side with Joja Corporation, the route has been criticized in the past, as some players have felt there isn't much incentive to do a Joja Corporation runthrough. While that might be intentional, mods can always help to change the experience in the more dramatic ways that fans are hoping for.
