It Takes Two Developer Hazelight Studios Will Seemingly Announce its Next Game Later This Year

Alien: Rogue Incursion, a brand-new game set in the Alien universe, has been announced and will be launching later this year. The Alien franchise has had a number of wildly different games over the years, with titles ranging from stellar to critical flops. While games like 2013's Aliens: Colonial Marines are considered to be some of the worst licensed games made with the IP, others like Aliens: Dark Descent are decent enough entries that offer a fun experience. One game that most fans argue has yet to be surpassed in terms of horror is Alien: Isolation.

Lost Soul Aside, the upcoming action RPG hack-n-slash from Chinese developer Ultizero Games, has been rated in China.

Fellow Traveller, a narrative games publisher, has just signed a deal with Made Up Games, a new game development studio from New York. Now, why are we talking about this deal? Well, they have also shared the news about a new interactive story and video game they’re cooking together as part of the deal.

Developer FarBridge has announced that upcoming VR strategy title Homeworld: Vast Reaches will be coming to Meta Quest 2 and 3 on May 2. Wizards of the Coast has announced that a very special collaboration will be taking place later this year, as it has been revealed that to celebrate the recently released Outlaws of Thunder Junction set, Magic: The Gathering will be crossing over with the popular anime series Cowboy Bebop. There are five cards in total in this collaboration, each one an alt version of an existing card, but with new art based on the anime's intro sequence.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance, 2018's meticulous medieval action-RPG, is finally getting a sequel. Publisher Plaion has announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, set for release in 2024 across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X. Developed by Warhorse Studios, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 promises to be a “true sequel” to the first game, bringing visceral first-person melee combat and a deep RPG experience.

Twitch has been testing a discovery feed for livestreams and Clips on mobile since last year, in hopes of giving users a new way to find new streamers to follow and, hence, spend more time on the platform. Now, the website has announced that it's rolling out the feature to all users later this month. The feed will first appear as a new tab in the mobile app and will allow viewers to switch between a scrollable feed for livestreams and another one for Clips. Like their names imply, the live feed will show users broadcasts from people they already follow and ongoing streams from people they don't based on their watch history. Meanwhile, the Clips feed will be filled with short snippets from live broadcasts.

2021 was a strange year for games. Amid the pandemic, major titles were few and far between, and instead, indie games reigned supreme. No game saw more fervor and applause than It Takes Two from Hazelight Studios, an exclusively co-op action-adventure game that has managed to sell 16 million copies as of March 2024.

Hazelight has teased that its next game may be announced later this year.
