Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai details Story Mode beginnings

Square Enix has been slowly pulling back the curtain on what fans can expect from the upcoming sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake. The original game was a masterpiece in nearly every way, and was praised for respecting the original game while expanding on all that could be done in the Midgar section of the title. With the upcoming sequel, gamers will finally see much of the rest of the planet and get new characters to help them flesh out their party and, by extension, the story. But a new rumor states that there’s already been work done on the game’s final entry.

Following a barrage of news and announcements last month, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has looked very good. From new Synergy Attacks in combat to extensive side content with over 100 hours of gameplay promised, there’s a lot for fans to dive into, including new playable characters like Red XIII, Cait Sith and even Sephiroth (albeit briefly).

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is a game of two halves: a surprisingly simplistic action RPG and an endless barrage of static, visual novel-style cutscenes. It bears the name Dragon Quest and is published by Square Enix, yet it feels entirely barebones; with basic gameplay and a poorly presented story, we're left confused about who this one was for.

With mere hours left until the release of Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai, developer Square Enix has revealed as much as it can before launch. Based on the manga and anime of the same name, Square Enix lovingly adapted Dai’s story to a new real-time combat RPG. However, even if you know the story, the game has some tricks up its sleeves.

is a video game based on an anime based on a video game series, which means it borrows elements from both, but feels more like the former than the latter. That being said, knowing a lot about the franchise or the anime (or manga) isn't really necessary for this experience. Featuring some of the iconic monsters and spells from, is more of an anime recap than a game, which is a bit unfortunate considering just how excellent the actual gameplay is.

Square Enix has released new information and screenshots for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth introducing some of the game’s regions, exploration, world intel, mini games, and combat.

There’s been much discussion about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Square Enix’s follow-up to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and how it offers a larger world to explore. As a seamless one-to-one recreation of the original game’s world map, it promises 100 hours of content, various mini-games and side content (like the recently showcased Grasslands).

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has received new gameplay and details thanks to various hands-on impressions over the past few days. However, the development team hosted a stage event at Tokyo Game Show 2023 to show off even more, from The Grasslands and its mini-games to more combat. Konami has released for Momotaro Dentetsu World: Chikyuu wa Kibou de Mawatteru! as part of Tokyo Game Show 2023, introducing the game’s “History Mode” and “My World.” Digital pre-orders are also now available via Nintendo eShop.
