Coins are the most important currency in 's Ultimate Team mode and are vital for you to succeed. They are needed to buy any items off the transfer market, including players, managers, and items. While there are other currencies in Ultimate Team, coins are by far the most valuable and are necessary if you want to build the best team to compete in the ultra-competitive online environment.
There are several effective ways for players to quickly farm coins in, with personal preference playing a big part. You can do so by playing matches, completing challenges, and taking advantage of the transfer market, even while away from the game. Regardless of your chosen method, it will still take a long time to grind the coins required to buy the best cards on offer. This includes special promotion cards, icons, and the best-rated players in Ultimate Team that can go for millions of coins.
The most straightforward way of farming coins in is by playing matches. Whether playing online in competitive matches or offline against the AI, you earn coins for every match. Each mode itself also provides a host of rewards, including coins. If you prefer to play offline, you can earn coins through the weekly squad battles rewards. The top player each week's rewards include 65,000 coins, while the top 10% of players will receive at least 9,000 coins.
You earn more coins for every goal scored, up to five per match.
Online modes, such as Weekend League and Rivals, also offer weekly rewards, with many coins available to the top-ranked players. While playing games across these modes to earn coins and rewards, you can also work towards the constant stream of objectives available to complete.
Ranging from completing tasks in certain modes to using specific players in so many matches. Some offer more coins or free packs containing players, which can be sold on the transfer market, but all have value in completing them.
Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) are also an excellent way to earn coins without playing games. These can be completed without playing on the web app or mobile phone. SBCs allow you to exchange unwanted cards in certain formations or with a high chemistry level for further rewards.
These are often new promotional cards but can also be coins themselves or, more commonly, valuable tradeable packs. Due to the value of SBCs, it is always worth keeping any cards you don't want in your club rather than discarding them.
Tradeable packs are worth earning in as they offer the only possible method to gain huge sums of coins in one go. Any cards found in Tradeable packs can be sold on the transfer market, meaning every time you open one, you have a chance to get a rare card that can be worth a considerable amount of coins.
