The weapon and its skin can be unlocked in the game's menus at any time following the update. All you need to do is find the Curtana in the menu system and opt to redeem it.
To redeem the Curtana, move to the System's menu and then the Redeemable Items Tab.
Once the update has been added to and you go to the Redeemable Items Tab, the Curtana will be at the top of the list. After the item has been redeemed, it will be on the list of different appearances for your weapons that you can switch to. You can change the appearance of your weapon by visiting The Arete Stone. If you do wish to use the Curtana in combat yourself, its default stats are 160 attack and 160 stagger.
