Next Ghost Recon Will be a First-Person Shooter, Coming 2025-2026 – Rumour

Ghost Recon Breakpoint was a bit of a dumpster fire, and Ghost Recon Frontline got cancelled in response to widespread backlash against its core premise, so the last few years have definitely been rough for the Ghost Recon franchise. Even so, though a new game hasn’t yet been officially announced, it seems safe to assume, given the magnitude of the franchise, that Ubisoft does have plans for a new game in the series. Now, a report published by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has shed light on alleged details about that next instalment.

Ripple Effect Studios’ Battlefield Game is a Free-to-Play Battle Royale Title – Rumour

When EA revealed that it was adopting a new multi-studio development model for the Battlefield franchise in 2021, it confirmed that Ripple Effect Studios – previously DICE LA – was at work on a “new” Battlefield “experience”. But with DICE and Ridgeline Games currently working on the series’ next mainline instalment (which is allegedly due out in October 2025), what should we expect from how Ripple Effect’s game will fit into the picture?

The critical and commercial failure of 2020’s Battlefield 2042 forced EA to reevaluate the first-person shooter franchise in some significant ways, leading to the company adopting a multi-studio development model for future instalments. Concrete details on the future of Battlefield have been scant since these changes were instituted, but a new report by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has shed light on potential details.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is the next instalment in Ubisoft’s flagship franchise, but we do know about other major releases that are in the pipeline for the years beyond as well. Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, for instance, was announced alongside Red back in 2022 as the game that would follow it.

Another Assassin’s Creed Remake is in the Works on Top of Black Flag – Rumour

With the likes of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, and Assassin’s Creed Invictus, Ubisoft has a number of upcoming instalments in its premiere franchise that have been officially confirmed, but there are several more that are in the pipeline, if reports are to be believed. Past leaks have claimed, for instance, that a remake of the 2013 fan-favourite Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is in development– and interestingly enough, it might not be the only Assassin’s Creed game getting the remake treatment.

Since being announced back in 2021, there have been a lot of questions about what Assassin’s Creed Infinity would even be. Well, we now have some more details from insider Tom Henderson, who has a very good track record when it comes to all things Ubisoft. According to Henderson, he’s laid eyes on demo footage of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and, surprise surprise, it sounds like it will be a heavily live-service-focused product.

Hi-Fi Rush will skip the current Nintendo Switch and instead arrive on the console's currently-unannounced successor. That's according to a report from Insider Gaming, which states that the absence of a Switch version of the game in yesterday's Xbox multi-platform announcement was due to it launching on Nintendo Switch 2 instead.
