Samsung has apparently started work on its Galaxy S25 series early, with the latest information surrounding its next year’s top-end model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Based on the newest renders that are now being compared with one another, it appears that four prototypes are being tested, with each version sporting a different dimension than the other, which we will dive into immediately.
Four Galaxy S25 Ultra models with variations in frame size and bezels are apparently in testing, though Samsung is likely undecided about which model to choose
An unnamed source has provided PandaFlash with what appears to be the potential design of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Since there are four prototypes that are rumored to be in testing, four separate renders have been illustrated in the image below, with each version touting a distinct variation when it comes to bezels and frame size. For instance, the first render on the left has a similar frame to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but the Galaxy S25 Ultra features slimmer bezels, whereas the render right next to it has an even smaller frame, with the same ‘screen to body’ ratio.

From the renders, we have learned that at least during the prototyping stage, Samsung will stick with a punch-hole front-facing camera for the Galaxy S25 Ultra that is in the same position as the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s front-mounted shooter. Overall, there will be minute differences between the two models, and since Samsung is sticking with the same rectangular shape as it has for a few launches now, it will be difficult to tell the two flagships apart unless if they arrive in different colors. Also, there are only so many changes that a company’s design and engineering team can employ.
As far as its specifications go, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may launch exclusively with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. However, given that the SoC is said to be more expensive than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Samsung may adopt a dual-chipset launch with its premiere flagship, possibly opting to announce it with the Exynos 2500 too. However, for that to happen, the Korean giant’s own SoC must be on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 while exhibiting the same power-efficiency metrics. The post on X does not mention which design Samsung intends to stick with, but we will have all relevant updates ready for our readers in the future, so stay tuned.

Samsung generated an abysmal $556.5 million in operating profit when it announced its Q1 2023 earnings call, resulting in an eye-watering 96 percent decline compared to the previous quarter. At the time, it appeared that the best days were behind the company, but mimicking Huawei’s comeback, the Korean giant quickly phased past all the negatives and expects to post a whopping 931 percent profit in its upcoming Q1 2024 financials.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is going to go official in a couple of months, and based on all the information that we have so far, Samsung is looking to make some changes to its foldable phone, which is always a good thing. I believe that the past iterations have been held back in terms of design, and this is a great opportunity for Samsung to deliver something nicer. Now, a tip has surfaced showing a prototype of the device, which shows how the phone will have a slightly taller and wider display than last year, and it honestly looks good.

Samsung is rumored to be laser-focused on continuing a dual-chipset approach with the Galaxy S25 launch next year by introducing both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Exynos 2500 variants in several markets. According to the latest rumor, the company has supposedly commenced testing of its upcoming SoC, and according to the latest development, it is faster than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both the CPU and GPU categories. However, that leaves us with more questions than answers, which we will discuss here.
Palia, a cute-looking life sim MMO inspired by e.g. Stardew Valley, has been in beta since last year, but now it's officially out on Steam, where many more people can download and play it. With this launch comes a pretty substantial update - Patch 0.178, full notes here - which adds a new questline and Temple to explore, new furniture, and a bunch of new spring flowers and trees to grow in your garden. There is also a giant plushi frog, listed under 'Adjustments'. The patch notes say simply "What does he want? Does he come in peace?" which makes him sound way more sinister than I think he is, but as you can see from the screenshot, he isn't not sinister.
