Frontier Developments Releases Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin

After facing a delay from its initial Spring 2023 release window, FRAME BREAK and Amplifier Game Invest have confirmed that Lightyear Frontier will enter early access in March 2024. It will be available for Xbox Series X/S via Game Preview and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Check out the latest trailer below.

Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is out fairly imminently, arriving on PS5 on 7th December. As a canon part of James Cameron's larger universe, an intriguing aspect fans can look forward to is the new creatures, characters, and storylines, which are already influencing other Avatar projects.

Mech-farming sim Lightyear Frontier has confirmed its release for next March, landing around a year after the delayed chill space game was originally meant to touch down on Planet PC.

Open-world farming adventure game Lightyear Frontier will launch in Early Access for Xbox Series and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store in March 2024, publisher Amplifier Game Invest and developer FRAME BREAK announced.

Short of somehow growing a Na’vi neural braid and jamming it directly into the base of James Cameron’s skull, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is pretty much your best option for taking a virtual tour of the stunning alien moon of Pandora. This open-world shooter serves up a mind bogglingly large slice of the fantastic fictional universe to explore, from staggeringly dense forest areas to picturesque open plains and properly intimidating mountain ranges both on land and suspended impossibly in the skies above. However, hidden amongst all that beauty is a disappointing amount of bloat, with copy-pasted enemy outposts and facilities that made venturing off the main story path far less rewarding than it has been in recent landmark adventures such as Elden Ring or the last two Legend of Zeldas. I still largely enjoyed the 25 hours I spent trying to fend off a resource-hungry human invasion, but I wish the environment itself had presented me with more compelling reasons to fight for it beyond its surface-level splendor.

Frontier Developments has announced its post-launch content plans for the recently-released real-time strategy game Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. Two Hero DLCs are planned for the game: Stormcast Eternals champion Yndrasta, the Celestial Spear, and Orruk Kruleboyz shaman Gobbsprakk, the Mouth of Mork.

"While it's not totally out of the question that Rockstar puffs out its proverbial chest and drops a solitary GTA 6 logo and a release date, I suspect the developer will go big here. In the face of last year's unprecedented leaks (and whatever those shorts that appeared over the weekend are; would-be players are torn on their veracity), restoring the company's signature swagger seems important at this juncture, and a blockbuster reveal trailer that blows us away feels like the easiest way of doing so. I don't think we'll see too much, granted – history would suggest something in the vicinity of a 90-second runtime seems fair – but what we will get, I reckon, is another of Rockstar's 'concept' trailers, where everything on display is in-game and in-engine footage. As always, a banging backing track will likewise set the tone and underpin whatever features on-screen."

Frontier Developments is going back to its roots, declaring the company will return to focusing on sims, which brought the company its original string of successes. This comes after efforts to diversify the studio’s offerings were not as successful as they hoped.
