Everyone's favourite stealthy video game protagonist Solid Snake has now joined the ever-growing world of Fortnite. The battle royale crossovers continue with force in Chapter 5, with Metal Gear now getting in on the action, following the likes of Peter Griffin from Family Guy and US rapper Eminem.
The Fortnite Solid Snake skin is now live in the game, with not only one outfit from the character's history available but two! With the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 being released earlier this year and now the Fortnite collaboration, it does appear that Konami is pushing Snake back into the limelight. Well, considering a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 is on the horizon, it makes sense.

For now, Epic's battle royale will have to do, featuring lots of Metal Gear-related quests to complete to earn the skins. Thankfully they're not that difficult. However, it's still useful to know what you need to do and how long you have before the Solid Snake skins disappear.

Epic Games confirmed that two Solid Snake outfits will be rolled out in Fortnite on Tuesday 23rd January 2024.
Solid Snake launched in Fortnite as a mid-season battle pass skin with its release date revealed in the in-game countdown following the start of Chapter 5 Season 1. The two Metal Gear skins feature Solid Snake in his traditional look as well as Old Snake.

To unlock the Solid Snake skin in Fortnite, you need to purchase the Chapter 5 Season 1 Big Bang Battle Pass (950 V-Bucks), and then complete the four «Page 1 Quests» surrounding the Metal Gear character. These are as below:

Two for the price of one! Yes, Old Snake is also up for grabs as part of the Big Bang Battle Pass. Just like his younger self, you must complete several quests to unlock Old Snake. A direct homage to the video games, Snake's appearance may only be used once you complete a variety of challenges. The new update for this battle royale gives players a list of goals they can pursue to obtain both Snake skins.
