Solid Snake is now the latest character to be added to the ever-expanding Fortnite universe. The massive battle royale is known for adding skins featuring characters and icons both from gaming and pop culture. Currently, there is a Fortnite and Family Guy crossover, which is just the latest in a long line of exciting collaborations. The newest update, however, finally introduces Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise into Fortnite, along with some items and goodies fans of the acclaimed series are sure to appreciate.
Solid Snake is far from the first video game icon to join Fortnite. Kratos, Aloy, Master Chief, and Lara Croft, just to name a few, are all beloved gaming characters that were featured in previous seasons. Fortnite is not just relying on Family Guy and Metal Gear Solid to entice players, either. Right now, fans can still get their hands on My Hero Academia skins in Fortnite via the in-game store.
Fortnite update v28.10 finally allows players to unlock Solid Snake via the Big Bang Battle Pass. With the update, Fortnite fans can now access the character as well as a slew of quests that are required to unlock various items, outfits, emotes, banner icons, and loading screens. The current Battle Pass is required to unlock Snake and his bevy of extras. The Big Bang Battle Pass for Chapter 5 – Season 1 can be purchased for 950 V-Bucks; 1,000 V-Bucks can be purchased from the in-game store for $8.99.
The latest Fortnite update features two pages of Battle Pass Quests that can be completed to unlock Snake-centric accessories. Completing tasks such as hiding in a cardboard box will unlock a new loading screen while knocking out entire pages will make new Solid Snake skins available. The various quests will remain open until March 8, 2024, at 2 AM ET, which likely marks the end of the current season.
In addition to Solid Snake's inclusion, there have been several updates implemented as well as a handful of new weekly Fornite quests. Not to mention, the team has patched in some balance tweaks and bug fixes.
Also, Peter Griffin is still part of the current Battle Pass. Before his inclusion, the face of Family Guy had long been rumored to join Fortnite. Players looking to unlock the musclebound version of the adult animated comedy icon need to reach level 70. Gold-plated and fancy versions of the character can also be unlocked by completing bonus reward pages.
Complete four Page 1 Quests to unlock the Solid Snake Outfit and Page 2 Quests! The Page 1 Quests can be completed in any order.
Hide in a Cardboard Box for 10 seconds
Make sure you don't let them see you. Unlocks the Lying in Wait Loading Screen.
Deal 250 damage to opponents within 10 meters
