In a Special Program livestream, miHoYo finally revealed the release date for Honkai: Star Rail’s massive Version 2.0 update, “If One Dreams at Midnight.” It goes live on February 6th and adds a new realm – Penacony – with new Trailblaze Missions. Check out the first trailer below, complete with a catchy theme song and appearances by several new characters.
The Trailblaze Missions will run from Version 2.0 to 2.2, with epilogues in Version 2.3. It sees the Astral Express Crew venturing to Penacony as guests of The Family for the Charmony Family. Though starting as an IPC prison, it’s since become a popular vacation spot.
In the hotel Reverie, players can use the Dreampool and visit Dreamscapes, including The Golden Hour, the most popular. It’s a region where the fun never ends, and players can use the Dream’s Eye to connect paths using optical illusions. They’ll even gain the Dreamwalk ability to walk on walls.
Version 2.0 adds three new characters, starting with Black Swan. The five-star Nihility character is a Memokeeper of the Garden of Recollection, skilled at stacking damage-over-time effects on enemies. Sparkle is a member of the Masked Fools and a five-star Harmony character who can boost the Critical Damage of allies and restore Skill Points.
Finally, there’s Misha, a 4-star Destruction character who works at the Reverie whose Ultimate damage scales with the number of Skill Points used by the team. Stay tuned for more details when Version 2.0 arrives on PS5, iOS, Android and PC in the coming weeks.

Now, one of Version 2.1's five-star characters has seen his gameplay kit leaked.
The new Version 2.0 update for added one of the strangest Achievements in the game so far, offering players a chance to get Stellar Jade in a very counter-intuitive manner. The patch kicked off the popular turn-based RPG’s second year of content and introduced the planet of Penacony, also known as the Land of Dreams for players to explore. This is an entirely new destination, much like Jarilo-VI and the Xianzhou Luofu, and it is expected to expand with more future updates.

Epic Games releases the new Cowabunga event in Fortnite, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well as new content including a reward pass, cosmetics, and skins for popular characters like Shredder and Splinter. Collaborations and crossovers have become a staple for the popular online shooter, with Fortnite mixing with tons of franchises and IPs like Marvel, DC, anime, and video games, including the likes of Master Chief and Kratos to name a few. With how popular these events are, there are no signs of Fortnite slowing down anytime soon, especially now with Epic Games and Disney teaming up.
Defense Derby, the mobile tower defense game by KRAFTON Studios, has announced that the new character Florea will join the game’s roster. Alongside her arrival comes the Derby Brawl – Florea Mirror Match game mode which will run until February 12th at 4 PM PT.
Honkai: Star Rail’s 2.0 update forms another glittering jewel in Hoyoverse’s already illustrious crown of achievements. The new patch takes the already impressive base game — which pairs stunning animation with zippy turn-based combat — and kicks everything up a level. It introduces Penacony, a region that pairs an intriguing story of a dream world set on a former penal colony with an artistically ambitious world design that’s like a golden fever dream of a place, somehow capturing the feeling of a theme park and casino rolled up in one. Even smaller details, like the update’s minigames, show a level of polish and consideration not seen in previous Honkai: Star Rail versions or in Genshin Impact. The patch represents the culmination of years of Hoyoverse’s experience in game development, but there’s one problem: You’ll have to play a ton of quests to get to it.
