Fortnite Removes Grappler And Winterfest Items

We all know by now that Baldur's Gate 3 is absolutely chock-full of hidden dialogue, funny scenes, and obscure items, most of which you'll never discover on your own, even on your tenth playthrough. In an effort to ensure everyone experiences as much as possible, Baldur's Gate 3 fans have banded together to share the things that they believe the vast majority of players will miss if they're playing the game normally. It should go without saying, but expect some heavy spoilers going forward.

Epic Games has removed and banned over 100 Creative mode maps that featured serious content violations. Fortnite is most known for its Battle Royale game mode. Initially, Epic Games intended to make Save the World the main Fortnite mode, but as Battle Royale grew in popularity, the company decided to put the PvE campaign on the back burner and shift its focus completely. As time went by, the Playground game mode was released, which allowed players to freely explore the Battle Royale island and set their own matches with friends.

From its hand-to-hand combat and its fully simulated whip to its focus on cinematic set pieces and the fact that it’s going to be a primarily first-person experience, there’s plenty about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle that has been revealed by developer MachineGames, though some questions have still yet to be answered. For instance, how is the game going to be structured? Is it going to be a linear experience, as you’d expect from a cinematic action-adventure game such as this one, or will it afford room for open-ended exploration?

Back in 2024 Microsoft and Bethesda announced a new Indiana Jones game was coming our way courtesy of producer Todd Howard and Wolfenstein developer MachineGames, but since then, very little else has been revealed. Rumors that the game may be launching this year have been making the rounds, but it’s been radio silence from Microsoft and Bethesda themselves.

The leaks were right. Machine Games' next Nazi-biffer is called Indiana Jones And The Great Circle. It was shown for the first time during this evening's Xbox Developer Direct, where we got to see first-person punching and whipping, some tomb raiding, and plenty of Indy's face in cutscenes.

2015’s Until Dawn was an early stand-out PlayStation 4 exclusive. Developed by Supermassive Games, it effectively asked players to put their money where their mouth is when it comes to a horror movie. Everyone has yelled at characters not to run upstairs when pursued or split up to search for somebody, but Until Dawn let you make those calls.

Developer Supermassive Games' branching-narrative horror, Until Dawn, which exclusively hit PlayStation in 2015, is the latest video game to get the film adaptation treatment. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Shazam! and Annabelle: Creation director David F. Sandberg will direct the Until Dawn movie. 

Vince Staples is getting his own Netflix series. The rapper, and occasional actor, first tweeted about his show on Monday, but it wasn’t until Wednesday that we got our first look at it in Netflix’s new trailer and it already looks great. The series, called The Vince Staples Show, will premiere on Feb. 15.

With the 2024 Toyko Fan Fest in the books, Final Fantasy 14 released Patch 6.55, Growing Light Part 2, which brought the story of the Endwalker expansion and several side quests to a close. In addition to the stories, Final Fantasy 14 made some changes specific to the PvP mode called Shatter and some Jobs were nerfed in Frontline mode.

Upon logging into Fortnite, a quick flick of the mouse or joystick will reveal a library of user-generated content crafted using Fortnite’s Creative tools. While many of these are genuinely impressive experiences with considerable audiences, it’s clear that Fortnite is suffering from a severe lack of content moderation.

What is it? A platformer, a rhythm game, a branching story—in other words, another inkle narrative experiment.
