LEGO Fortnite players have expressed their frustration over the Item Shop's newest offerings, which allow players to purchase bundles of LEGO buildings for surprisingly high amounts of money. The «LEGO Kits» were added to the Shop shortly after LEGO Fortnite's recent update.
LEGO Fortnite's March 8 update was the game's first major update in a couple of weeks and added LEGO styles for additional Fortnite skins, gameplay improvements, and crash fixes. The update also set the stage for the Shop's aforementioned LEGO Kits, which wasn't a particular surprise to Fortnite fans who assumed that Epic Games would try new ways to monetize the free-to-play game. However, the Kits' cost has frustrated some fans.
Reddit user Slyme-wizard took to the LEGO Fortnite subreddit to voice their opinion on the matter, who was disappointed with the «botched, souless» LEGO sets. Currently, users can choose between two LEGO Kit bundles in the Shop, the Beachside Boulevard Bundle and Durrr Burger Bundle, which cost 1,900 V-Bucks (about $16) and 2,000 V-Bucks (about $17), respectively. Both Kits come with a handful of LEGO-style buildings and decorative items that can be placed into a user's world. While these Kits might seem steep in price, the most expensive one is still to come. On March 16, Fortnite's Shop will add the Lion Knights' Castle Bundle for 2,500 V-Bucks (about $21), which includes ten buildings and 65 decorative items based on its castle theme.
LEGO Fortnite fans are understandably a bit discouraged by these prices, as they'll need to fork over the price of more than two full battle passes to unlock the Castle Bundle. However, it's also worth noting that these LEGO Fortnite bundles are entirely optional and don't give a user any real advantage other than making their world look much nicer.
It seems that Epic is exploring other ways to increase its Fortnite revenue after some potential changes to the game's monthly Crew subscription were leaked. A survey asked fans about their opinion on various new benefits for the monthly membership, such as early access to Shop items, an XP multiplier, and much more. It's possible that Epic will add a couple of new, tempting benefits to the $12 per month membership to help boost its popularity.
A previous LEGO Fortnite leak suggested that Epic is working on a major update for the game, which will introduce popular LEGO sets like Duplo, Technic, Clikits, and more. Apparently, users will be able to import custom LEGO pieces as well. However, this news is not officially confirmed yet.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is pretty fantastic - I'm sure you'll struggle to find a fan of the series that doesn't hold that viewpoint.
