Focus Entertainment has released an update on its upcoming release slate, and revealing some details about when we might see games like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and action RPGBanishers: Ghost of New Eden.
The company sent out a press release with more details, including when we will hear more about release dates. Action RPG Banishers: Ghost of New Eden, made in partnership with Don’t Nod, known for the Life is Strange franchise, is set for release on February 13th, 2024. The company presented the game at Paris Games Week this month to acclaim. Banishers will be out on PC, Xbox series X|S and PlayStation 5 the same day.
As forSpace Marine 2, so far, all they will say is that the game will ship sometime in the second half of 2024. This follows over a million players wishlisting the game and high expectations after the success of the first one. releasing in the second half of next year will give them a time to finish development and polish things up to make sure that the experience is where it needs to be before they release the game.
However, Focus Entertainment is planning to reveal the official launch date in early December, presumably at this year’s The Game Awards, which fits right in that frameon December 7th.
Two deals were also noted in the press release. Focus and Afterburner Studios will work together on a new IP. US-based Afterburner released their roguelite ARPG Dreamscaper back in 2021. The new IP will be co-owned. Another deal, this time between Focus Entertainment and Asobo is a little clearer. The companies released two games in the developer’s“A Plague Tale” franchise, and this will “extend the productive collaboration” with a new project.
