The developer of the Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London has recently announced that Neil Newbon will play an unannounced role in the game. Newbon is known for playing the vampire Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3 and his voice acting will probably be a fine addition to the ambitious Fallout 4 total conversion mod.
Fallout: London was originally unveiled back in 2021 by Team FOLON, a non-profit group of international developers. This ambitious mod will create a post-apocalyptic version of London in the Fallout universe in 2237. Set between the first two games of the franchise, Fallout: London will be a DLC-sized unofficial expansion with several hours of gameplay and entirely new factions. To make the experience more immersive, the game will include unique voice acting for several important characters.
Now, as Fallout: London gears up for its release, Team FOLON has unveiled its latest video detailing the project’s progress so far. Aside from showing new gameplay footage, the developers announced some of the voice actors who will appear in the game, including Neil Newbon, who is known for playing the charismatic vampire Astarion in the recent Baldur’s Gate 3. Newbon also voiced characters in many other high-profile games such as Final Fantasy 16, Resident Evil Village, Detroit: Become Human, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. At the moment, there is no official information about the character that Newbon will play, including their name, faction, or how central they will be to the story.
Neil Newbon is not the only high-profile actor to appear in Fallout: London, though. Anna Demetriou, who is known for her work in Final Fantasy 16 and A Plague Tale: Requiem, is also confirmed to voice a character in the game. As with Newbon, there is no official information about her character. With the help of these talented voice actors and its huge scope, Fallout: London is likely to be among the best total conversion mods for Fallout 4 when it’s out.
Fallout: London will be released on April 23, a date that was chosen to coincide with the release of the Amazon Studios’ Fallout TV show, which will likely increase player interest in the mod. Fallout 5 is probably several years away from release at the moment, so it’s likely that Fallout: London will be an interesting way for fans of the franchise to enjoy adventures in the series’ universe while Bethesda is working on its next games.
