The recently broadcast State of Play event in May 2024 revealed several upcoming games for PlayStation consoles, as well as updates on titles that had been announced before. State of Play is Sony’s main event format for all things PlayStation and, every so often, the company hosts a short presentation focusing on games coming to PS5. Some State of Play events focus on a single title, while others are broader and present multiple titles and even news about hardware. This is expected to be a minor presentation for Sony ahead of its rumored participation during Summer Game Fest next week.
May 2024’s State of Play event did not focus on a single game and, instead, presented a wide roster of titles, from first-party products to those developed by partners. The event, which was announced this Wednesday, May 29, lasted around 30 minutes and brought updates on 14 PlayStation 5 and PS VR2 games, some of which are titles produced by PlayStation Studios and are due to be released for Sony’s consoles later in 2024. Among the games, there were a few titles that stood out, some of which had already been featured in PlayStation’s State of Play leak earlier today.
PlayStation Plus is adding some new games as always in June 2024, including a few action-packed titles available to subscribers across all tiers.

Whether it's, , or, dice have become an integral part of the standard board game formula — but they don't have to be. Dice inject a degree of randomness where it's not always needed. They can ruin a perfectly good strategy, or jeopardize a win that should've been secure. Most board games today live or die by a roll of the dice, and a single bad roll can frustrate an hour's worth of calculated gameplay.

Per last night’s Sony State of Play, PS5 darling and supposedly rather good action-dad adventure God of War Ragnarök is coming to PC on September 19th 2024. The good news is that the port, co-developed by Jetpack Interactive and original makers Santa Monica Studio, will pack in all the DLSS 3, FSR 3, and ultrawide what-have-yous that one might expect from a big, monied PC release. The bad, silly, clearly pointless news is that it will need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, despite the complete lack of multiplayer.
My PC has a big white case, and sometimes, I sit and think: “big white box good!” But other times, I glance over to my PS5 and think: “other big white box also good!” Then I start getting fanciful and imagine a lovely future where they can both combine into one. Keeping track of two big white boxes is hard! Luckily, I only have to write about one of those big white boxes for RPS the vast majority of the time. Today is one of the rare occasions I do have to cover both, so here’s everything announced at yesterday’s Playstation State Of Play that you, the discerning big white box owner, might find relevant:
