The Epic Games Store and many of its users love Thursdays, as it's when one or more free games rotate in and the current selection rotates out. Astro Duel 2 exits the storefront's free game selection today, with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and The Bridge being free on the Epic Games Store for the next week. Come 10 am CT on March 21, they will rotate out for Call of The Wild: The Angler andInvincible Presents: Atom Eve.
Both of these titles are solid additions to the Epic Games Store free game selection. Deus Ex hardly needs any introduction, as it is a beloved cyberpunk stealth-focused RPG with first-person shooter elements to boot. Its Cyberpunk dystopia, as they often are, is filled with seed organizations like the Illuminati that players must face with various augmentations and cybernetic enhancements as they proceed throughout the game. If there's been a must-have on the EGS free selection before, it's this one. Meanwhile, The Bridge bills itself as an «Isaac Newton meets M.C. Escher» logic puzzle game based on the ideas of physics and perspective, making it an interesting pairing since both games deal with preconceptions.
If neither of those is to someone's liking, two more free games are coming the week of March 21-March 28, but it's worth noting that both are more niche. Fishing is a popular mechanic in RPGs, but as a whole game, it will appeal to a more niche audience. That said, Call of the Wild: The Angler is a solid fishing game and a more open experience than most. Players, with friends in co-op, can find their perfect fishing spot in the game and, across all its waterways, catch a variety of fishing. Its customization is top-notch too, with everything from rods and reels to hooks and bait being customizable. Players can even customize their angler too.
The world of comics and video games go hand in hand, and Invincible Presents: Atom Eve is a solid marriage of those. However, it is a visual novel which may limit its appeal. Still, just as The Angler is good for fishing fans, Atom Eve is a good game for comic and visual novel fans. The game received solid reviews at launch, and players can customize Eve's powers, make important decisions in a branch narrative (with timed dialogue), and still feature some turn-based combat. Overall, it's a solid addition to the service.
If someone doesn't find themselves in the fishing or comic/visual novel camp, then the good news is that it's just a week's wait. Epic Games Store will rotate these games in on March 21 and reveal what's coming on March 28 at that time, too.

Each Thursday, the Epic Games Store releases a new free game or two to help round out your collection. Currently, the adorable Metroidvania Islets is available to download until April 4, and two hit games have been confirmed to be hitting the storefront from April 4 until April 11. These are The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition and Thief.
Every Thursday at 10 am CT, the Epic Games Store rotates its free game selection and confirms what will be coming the next week. This means Epic Games Store users can no longer claim Call of the Wild: The Angler or Invincible Presents: Atom Eve, but they can claim Islets until April 4. At that time, Islets will rotate out of EGS and the service will add The Outer Worlds and Thief, two big pick-ups for the service.
Gearbox Entertainment, the company behind the fan-favorite series Borderlands, confirms that it has been acquired by Take-Two Interactive/2K. While this is not necessarily surprising, as rumors have swirled around Borderlands and Gearbox's status within Embracer Group for some time, it does come in the middle of the night, almost literally, for many fans around the world.
