Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC launches in June with new bosses, world areas, and a collector's edition

The Fallout TV show (based on the popular RPG game) will premiere on Prime Video. New character posters offer potential sneak peeks, stirring intrigue among fans. However, one character poster is catching attention for a potentially gruesome reason.

The Finals releases update 1.10 which continues to add quality of life improvements and bug fixes, as well as brand-new content including a Smoking Guns limited time mode and a community challenge. Since launching back in December during The Game Awards, The Finals has constantly been evolving. Part of that has been with consistent updates aimed at balancing some of the abilities and fixing major issues impacting the game, as well as adding new content to the overall experience.

Against The Storm is a roguelite city builder that features lizards and beavers, as they attempt to survive in a universe where it doesn't stop raining. We gave it a Bestest Best badge when it launched into 1.0, and since then the developers promised more major updates. Patch 1.2 is the latest of the bunch, and when it arrives next week it's bringing with it a "consumption/production" window, upgrades to the Blight Post, and lots of balance changes.

Well, it's the day of days. The much awaited sequel to Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, is launch imminent, and I have the cheapest prices for it. Preloading is available for your midnight play, however, I have just been informed that the embargo for longplays and other VODs is two hours earlier at 10 p.m. AEST. That's good news if you want a bigger sneak peek, possibly via the three non-commentary vids I have in the wings. I'd put gil on the US team having a Let's Play going on too. The former NPD Group (now named “Circana”) has released its full North American sales data for January, and it seems like it was a pretty solid month for the industry, although direct comparisons are difficult because five weeks, including the first few days of February (up until February 3 to be exact) were reported on this time around. Regardless, players spent $5.1 billion on games, additional content, and hardware in January and early February. The PlayStation 5 was the #1 console as usual, with Nintendo and Microsoft battling it out for second place honors – Switch was #2 in unit sales, while Xbox Series X/S was #2 in dollar sales.

After much waiting and hoping, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware promised to finally give us the first trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree today, and boy did they deliver. This first three-minute look at the expansion focuses heavily on new bosses, and they look like a very intimidating lot – a towering flaming effigy, a twisted Chinese dragon type thing, what appears to be a giant stick bug, and more. This is all lorded over by what would seem to be the new big bad of the expansion, Messmer the Impaler (that’s him in the header image).

Elden Ring downloadable content “Shadow of the Erdtree” will launch on June 21 for $39.99, publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware announced.

Konami will release Felix the Cat for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on March 28 for $24.99. PlayStation Store pre-orders are available now, and Nintendo eShop pre-orders will open at a later date. Physical edition pre-orders are available via Limited Run Games until March 10.

Ahead of Elden Ring’s new Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, which was officially announced on Wednesday, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have opened up preorders for a brand new Collector’s Edition of the game.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has received its first gameplay trailer and details, indicating a massive new world for players to explore. It’s FromSoftware’s biggest expansion to date, and perhaps fittingly, it costs $39.99, nearly double that of Bloodborne: The Old Hunters.

FromSoftware’s first paid expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, has received its first gameplay trailer. It also has a release date, launching on June 21st (as rumors claimed) for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out the trailer below.
