With Patch 10.2.6, players have noticed that crafted gear will be slightly weaker in Season 4 than in Season 3. While in Season 3, crafted gear is capped at 3 item levels under max Myth track, in Season 4, it is capped at 6 ilvls under it. This can be seen when looking at Aspect's awakened crests.
Dragonflight Season 4 Launches 'Several Weeks' After Patch 10.2.6

In today's Patch 10.2.6 announcement, Blizzard confirmed that Dragonflight Season 4 will only launch «several weeks» into the patch cycle.
This means that Season 4 will likely be released around late April. Once Patch 10.2.6 goes live on March 19th, we will have a Season 4 PTR cycle, as previewed by Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW Holly Longdale.

In their Dragonflight Season 4 testing announcement, Blizzard revealed that players will be able to upgrade Fyr'alath the Dreamrender and Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy to higher item levels using Crests and Flightstones.
