Disney Infinity fans and insiders have been sharing footage of cancelled figures and playsets from Disney Infinity 4.0 to celebrate (or rather, mourn) the tenth anniversary of the series.
Although the toys-to-life market seems to have died a quiet death over the last console generation with the loss of games like Lego Dimensions, Skylanders, and Starlink (if you remember that one), there's one game that still remains in a lot of Disney fans' memories - Disney Infinity.

Yesterday marked the ten-year anniversary of the first Disney Infinity game, which launched in 2013 and spawned two sequels across 2014 and 2015 before the plug was suddenly pulled in 2016 before Disney Infinity 4.0 could see the light of day.
The death of Disney Infinity seven years ago might still be a sore subject for a lot of fans considering how much support was promised by Disney and how many future characters and playsets were teased, but that hasn't stopped fans from celebrating the series by taking a look back at what could have been in its future.
Take YouTuber and Disney Infinity expert Infiniteer Adventures for example, who shared a half-an-hour-long video on the series' tenth anniversary that runs through all of the cancelled content that was supposed to appear in the series, including details and footage of the planned fourth game, which was shared by a United Front Games developer in 2019 after the project had been scrapped.

It appears the level would have been one of the game's story-mode worlds and almost seemed to act like a tutorial, similar to what other Disney Infinity games did to kick off the game.
Infiniteer Adventures' video shows the game still in a very early concept stage, but it seems that the plan for 4.0 was to combine the worlds somewhat, as Agrabah's world is said to be invaded by characters from Star Wars. Combine that with the ability to play as any character in any playset, something that had been heavily requested, and it's a shame this didn't come to pass.
Some of the other big things shared in Infiniteer Adventures' video include several cancelled figures like Peter Pan, Darkwing Duck, Spider-Gwen, characters from Avatar, and more, as well as a cancelled playset for Frankenweenie and Moana, both of which seemed to have gone through quite a lot of work before the game was suddenly scrapped.
Taking a look though all of the cancelled figures and playsets that have been shared by fans is a bit of a sobering experience, since all of the tributes
