Warframe Turns To Metal Gear Solid For Inspiration With Its New Expansion, 1999

In the neverending pursuit to build wacky Starfield ships, one player has created an homage to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’s famous long ladder scene. In simpler terms, this Starfield player has an excessively long set of ladders in their ship. Come look. 

@Thrillho I agree with this. I feel like a lot of modern characters in this cinematic age of gaming are kind of cursed with an overabundance of personality and while someone like Nathan Drake for example, is done extremely well, I actually find him a little annoying and less relatable.

Warframe has been on the go for ten years, and Tennocon 2023 is most certainly a celebration of that legacy. As the curtain falls on what looks like a radical new step for Warframe, I caught up with creative director Rebecca Ford and Soulframe’s chief creative officer Steve Sinclair to chat about the update, and where it draws its inspiration from.

The dream of owning the first Metal Gear games in one location will soon come to fruition with the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection. Now, a new platform is getting on on the action. In addition to current-gen consoles and PC, Konami announced plans to bring the first volume of the Metal Gear Solid bundle to PlayStation 4.

In scenes reminiscent of a convoluted codec conversation, Konami has been tying itself up in knots about what exactly players can expect from Metal Gear Solid: The Master Collection Vol. 1. It's now issued a statement to VGC clarifying the target spec for the games is 1080p and 60FPS on PC, following erroneous reports (based on what Konami reps said) that the games would be running at lower resolutions and framerates.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 has a notable disclaimer that the press took notice off when Konami shared previews with the press earlier last week.
