Diablo 4 Coming to PC Game Pass March 28 - More Activision Blizzard Games to Come

Xbox Game Pass has confirmed another day-one game for 2024 in the form of The Alters. The next title from award-winning developer 11 Bit Studios is still without an official release date, although the Polish company committed to bringing it to PC, consoles, and Xbox Game Pass sometime this year.

The first games coming to during March 2024 have been announced, and there are a few surprises to go with the expected day-one games. We already knew about the impending release of MLB The Show 24 and Lightyear Frontier, but there are a couple of older faces and others to keep the kids occupied.

Microsoft has announced the first wave of titles coming to Game Pass subscribers for March, starting with Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun for cloud, PC and consoles. PAW Patrol World arrives for the same platforms on March 7th, followed by SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated on March 12th.

Microsoft revealed on on Xbox Wire all of the Xbox Game Pass catalog additions we can expect between today and March 19. Headliners include Control Ultimate Edition, the complete version of the game Remedy Entertainment made before Alan Wake 2, and MLB The Show 24, a game made by a PlayStation-owned studio.

With Diablo 4 becoming the first Activision Blizzard game to launch for Game Pass on March 28th, the door is seemingly open for other titles to follow. Speaking to Game File’s Stephen Totilo, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said the company intends that “the full portfolio of games from ZeniMax, Activision Blizzard and XGS – Xbox Game Studios – will be on Game Pass, day one.”

February’s remaining Game Pass lineup is a good time at the beach, whether you’re hanging out with the Heeler family and friends in Bluey: The Videogame or feasting on tourists as a bloodthirsty killer shark in Maneater.

Two more games, Tales of Arise and Return to Grace, are being added to Xbox Game Pass on February 20. Rumors about Tales of Arise possibly coming to Xbox Game Pass began at the beginning of the month when Bandai Namco’s action RPG briefly showed up in a “coming soon” announcement on Xbox Wire. The game was quickly scrubbed from the list, but not before eagle-eyed readers spotted it, shared it on social media, and dug up the cached version of the article. As it turns out, the announcement was just made a week too early.

Diablo IV will be coming to Xbox Game Pass next month, marking the first Activision Blizzard game to launch on the service post-acquisition. 

One of the most interesting details revealed in the latest episode of the Official Xbox Podcast was that Xbox Game Pass now has 34 million subscribers.
