surprised many in the audience at this year's BlizzCon 2023 event by announcing many new features and content updates to the game, including a new expansion, that is due to launch next year. This, combined with many new quality-of-life changes that continue to be added to the dungeon-crawling experience and a new holiday event that is coming soon gave plenty to talk about at the convention. Much was revealed initially during the opening showcase of BlizzCon 2023, with more details given the following day at a live Campfire Chat with some of the devs.

Since Season of Blood began, we have known its end date from several in-game reminders and tooltips. However, at BlizzCon, Blizzard shared a screenshot that appeared to be from an internal build, which showed a slightly different Season 2 end date. So, why are these two dates different, and why is this significant? This is purely speculative, but it is our hope that the January 23rd date is the true end date of Season 2 and that the January 26th date is the beginning of Season 3.
