Dead by Daylight has rolled out the 7.7.1 update, packed with bug fixes and a change to the Ultimate Weapon, an exclusive perk of the Xenomorph. This new update also lays the groundwork for exciting content arriving in Dead by Daylight throughout May, as disclosed by its roadmap.
Since its launch in 2016, Dead by Daylight has delighted fans with numerous updates and content, expanding the live-service game. In a recent Dead by Daylight Player Satisfaction survey, developer Behaviour Interactive asked players for feedback on the game's latest update, as well as their opinions on some famous titles like Five Nights at Freddy's, Left 4 Dead, Valheim, and even Helldivers 2. Depending on player responses, the developer may add new content to the game, such as killers or survivor skins from other franchises.
While new content is still in the works, Dead by Daylight continues to enhance players' experience with updates. Update 7.7.1 fixes numerous bugs in the game and modifies the Ultimate Weapon, the exclusive perk of the Xenomorph killer. Players should be pleased with the potential fix for rubber-banding when moving and the fix for an issue that caused a stutter at the end of some interactions. Both bugs are game-breaking for either the killer or the survivor, as even a slight movement can change the entire outcome of a match.
The 7.7.1 update also adds the Chaos Shuffle modifier, a game mode set to become available on May 16. Players can expect a lot of new content starting May 14, anticipating Dead by Daylight's anniversary in June. May 14 will feature a game broadcast, which has the potential to announce major updates to the game. Additionally, the Before the Masquerade event begins on the same day, with the addition of a new Nicolas Cage survivor skin. The Endless Hunt pack starts on the same day, and it's the fourth Chapter Pack DLC for Dead by Daylight.
Before the Masquerade will continue throughout the month. From May 16 until May 23, the Chaos Shuffle game mode will be available for all. This modifier will give all Dead by Daylight players four random perks, challenging them to adapt their playstyle without relying on their standard loadout. Chaos Shuffle will be available in a separate queue from the traditional mode, but players who want to acquire Chaos Shuffle cosmetics must play the mode and complete the challenges.
