David Hayter returns to promote Metal Gear, teases ‘this is only the beginning’

Were you expecting a 1:1 remake of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel with Scott Pilgrim Takes Off? Not only does the Netflix animated series veer wildly away from the source material, its first episode has a mind-blowing twist that has already broken the internet.

Longtime Solid Snake actor David Hayter seems to be teasing some big news, and fans think it's Metal Gear Solid 4 related. This comes amid rumours of Metal Gear Solid 4 getting some kind of re-release, and if David Hayter is back in the studio for it, it might be getting some pretty big overhauls.

First reported by DSOGaming, modders Zoft and Triggerhappy have introduced crouch walking to Metal Gear Solid 3's Master Collection port on PC. The intermediate movement option between upright locomotion and belly crawling was embraced by later Metal Gear games, but Snake Eater's 3DS port was previously the only version of the game to feature the movement.

Recently, some MGS fans on Reddit put together a video showing a side-by-side comparison of the recent gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta and 2015's MGS5: The Phantom Pain, and fans are finding plenty to talk about.
