The Perks in have received a massive overhaul in Update 2.0, with dozens of new stat-based abilities that lend themselves well to diverse and powerful builds. There are new Perks for all playstyles, whether you’re planning to shred enemies in close combat with the Mantis Blades, sow chaos with quickhacks, or take out entire squads of gangsters with multiple headshots.
The overhaul of the Perks system is included in free Update 2.0. Players still allocate points to Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Cool, and Intelligence. Each Attribute has its own Perks and by allocating more points to a specific Attribute, players can unlock new, more powerful Perks for V. There are also new Relic Perks, but these are only available in the expansion. Here are some of the best new Perks in the game.
The new expansion introduces a new Perks tree for the Relic, and it’s arguably one of the best changes introduced by . V will need to download data from Militech Data Terminals all across Dogtown to earn Relic Points and unlock Relic Perks.
Sensory Protocol is basic, but it’s one of the best Perks in the game for anyone who favors a stealth-based build. When an enemy detects V while they’re crouched, Sensory Protocol slows down time for a brief window, allowing you to dodge or dash back into cover.

Instead of starting a firefight, V can now slip back out of sight and continue on a spree of silent takedowns. Sensory Protocol also works extremely well with other stealth-based perks.
The new Ninjutsu Perk is the basic bread-and-butter ability for anyone focusing on a stealth-based build. Spending a single Perk Point unlocks a +15% increase to movement speed when crouched, and two points unlock a +15% increase in Mitigation Chance when crouched. These are nice, but not necessarily game-changing. However, with three points allocated to Ninjutsu, V unlocks sprint crouching.
Sprint crouching is a huge benefit to any stealth-based builds in . It offers a substantial boost to movement speed when crouched, allowing V to slip from enemy to enemy, executing stealth takedowns and kills with incredible speed. It allows you to be much bolder when attacking from stealth, as you can effectively rush enemies from behind and grab them for takedowns before anyone notices. It’s an essential Perk for a stealthy V.
You can also purchase smaller side Perks for Ninjutsu, and it works extremely well with the new Optical Camo Cyberware.
Lead and Steel is one of the most epic Perks introduced in . It reduces the Stamina cost of attacks with Blades weapons, such as
