Crash Team Rumble support ends after nine months, as developer splits with Activision

The League of Legends MMORPG, which Riot Games had been working on for quite some time, has seemingly had its development process reset. As spotted by VideoGamesChronicle, studio co-founder Marc Merrill elaborated on how the game’s development is going through a long thread on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Valve just released a list of the top 100 games played on the Steam Deck over the last 12 months and few will likely be surprised that Baldur's Gate 3 tops the list. Valve's handheld device launched back in 2022, promising fans a chance to play some of their favorite Steam titles while on the go. Now, the developer is offering a glimpse of which games have attracted the most attention on the Steam Deck over the last year, and Larian Studios' hit RPG Baldur's Gate 3 came in at number one.

Temtem developer Crema has announced that monetization and major updates will soon conclude. There are still a couple of patches planned for Temtem in the relatively near future, but those will be the last significant updates as the MMO-lite looks to wind down. Crema will work to ensure Temtem is still playable indefinitely, but fans shouldn't expect any substantial changes after the announced patches.

Developer Toys for Bob has announced that post-launch support for the game is drawing to a close, with the final update coming next week.

Crash Team Rumble will be turning off its microtransactions once a new content update launches on March 4, but this update will also mark the end of support for the online multiplayer game. The game will also undergo some major changes, since Crash Team Rumble developer Toys for Bob is no longer working on the game.

Activision has announced Crash Team Rumble is ending support next week.

As the video games industry violently contracts to ensure shareholder satisfaction at the cost of making thousands upon thousands of people unemployed, Skylanders studio Toys For Bob have announced they're splitting from Activision Blizzard and Microsoft to go independent. Good for them, but maybe too late for some. Earlier this month, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that it seemed Activision Blizzard were closing Toys For Bob's California headquarters and laying off 86 people. Still, the new independent Toys For Bob say they're working on something new and "exploring a possible partnership" with Microsoft.
