has revealed which Marvel Cinematic Universe movie was his favorite to take part in during his time as Captain America.
Evans recently appeared at Emerald City Con 2024 (via Total Film), where he told the audience which Marvel Studios movie was his favorite to make. The actor said that 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier was his favorite film to be a part of, as he was more accustomed to the character and was able to take more risks.
“It’s my personal favorite Marvel movie that I was a part of. It’s not just for the movie itself but the experience,” Evans stated (via Variety). “The first film, I was so nervous. You know what you’re stepping into and as a result you’re playing defense and you’re playing not to lose. When Winter Solider came around, we were playing to win. And it’s the first movie with the Russo Brothers. We were taking more risks, and the character felt more fleshed out. It was one of the more satisfying experiences I’ve had in my Marvel run.”
Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released in theaters on April 4, 2014. The sequel would become one of the most critically acclaimed films in the MCU and was a massive box office success. In addition to Evans, the film stars Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Jenny Agutter, Robert Redford, and Samuel L. Jackson.

The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 version of Venom is crawling into the comics in this year’s Venomverse Reborn event, just a few months after menacing gamers on the PlayStation 5. Even before Spider-Man 2 launched back in October, Venom’s presence in the Insomniac universe was strongly felt and hinted at. In the Marvel’s Spider-Man post-credits scene, it is revealed that Norman Osborn has been keeping his terminally ill son Harry suspended in a tank in his penthouse, with an all-too-familiar-looking black substance floating alongside him. Come Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Norman orders Harry to be released, despite the protests of Dr. Curtis Conners.
X-Men ’97 is everything we could’ve hoped from Marvel‘s first attempt at tackling the mutant team and more. No joke, I just wanted to make that clear from the off. It’s authentic to both the original ’90s animation and the spirit of the beloved brand in general.
Steve Rogers is finally back in action, with the newly unveiled game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra seeing the newly-empowered super soldier bashing the fash in occupied Paris. Along the way, he’ll be tangling with that era’s Black Panther Azzuri, T’Challa’s grandfather, with the pair united against the same enemy but with different goals.
The latest trailer for Spine, revealed at the Future Games Show, offers a very early look at the sleek and cinematic combat of this cyberpunk action game.
Names like Skyrim and Morrowind are so ubiquitous that it’s easy to forget they were once ideas on a whiteboard. But in 1993, the world of Elder Scrolls was still very much a blank slate.
The cast and composer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hyrda have been revealed, showing fans who will be voicing Captain America, Black Panther, and more. The game was first revealed back in 2022, with the base premise being Captain America and Black Panther joining forces to take down Hydra during World War 2.
While superhero movies may have hit a rough patch at the box office, the genre is going from strength to strength in video games. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was amazing (also spectacular) and we have great-looking titles about Blade and Wolverine on the way. But as of last night, the future looks a lot brighter for Marvel fans after the unveiling of the first trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.
We’ve known that a Marvel game from former Uncharted writer-director Amy Hennig has been in the works for years, learning in 2022 that it will focus on Captain America and Black Panther during World War 2. Thanks to a proper reveal during today’s State of Unreal event, we now know that it’ll be called Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and we’ll be able to play it sometime in 2025.
Sydney Bernice Sweeney is an incredibly popular American actress best known for her performances in TV series like The White Lotus and Euphoria and films like Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Madame Web, and Anyone But You. She also recently sparked some intense (relatively speaking) speculation as to which The Simpsons racer she might have been referring to in a Madame Web-related interview with IGN.
Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars may have settled on a plan for Kang the Conqueror after Jonathan Majors was fired from the role.
