CD Projekt Red uninterested in being acquired

CD Projekt has provided an update on the next mainline Witcher game and its Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.

As CD Projekt staffs up for its various projects in development, the boss of the company has said it is considering adding multiplayer to the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.

Cyberpunk 2077's sequel, codenamed Orion, could have a multiplayer component. In a recent interview, CD Projekt Red CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed that the studio is still "considering" multiplayer for the sequel, adding an element that never made it into the first game.

With support for Cyberpunk 2077 having finally ended, CD Projekt RED is moving on to its next projects, and while it looks like The Witcher 4 will take precedence as it enters full production later this year, work on the next Cyberpunk game is also underway.

The Witcher 4 is set to enter its production phase during 2024, with plans for 400 developers to be working on the game by the summer.

A Red Dead Redemption 2 player was killed in the game due to an incessant spawning of wolves that ambushed them. The player faced an unexpected turn of events when an accidental encounter with the Red Dead Redemption 2 Wolf Man led to a wild confrontation.

Rebel Wolves, a new studio largely made up of former CD Projekt Red developers, revealed its new game known as Dawnwalker. In addition to the game's title, the ex-CD Projekt Red developers unveiled a wallpaper that hints at Dawnwalker's theme.

From the former designers of CD Projekt Red, better known for their work on the Witcher game series and Cyberpunk 2077, comes a new dark and twisted fantasy RPG titled Dawnwalker. 

In February 2022, former designers from CD Projekt Red announced the formation of a new studio called Rebel Wolves. The team revealed its first project would be, unsurprisingly, an RPG, and today, we learned a couple more details about the game, including its title.

has impressively realized its setting of Night City, right down to the slang used by its denizens, including the often repeated «choom.» The term of endearment is heard throughout the game, and the protagonist, V, is referred to as such frequently. Night City and 's slang, however, were not created by developer CD Projekt Red. Both predate the video game by some time, and have their roots in the wider franchise, so understanding the meaning and prevalence of the slang term choom requires a bit of background.

The recently founded Polish studio Rebel Wolves has just appointed a new creative director, and clearly, its future is in reliable hands. 

Having sold millions of copies of the Phantom Liberty DLC since it was released in September, Cyberpunk 2077 is on a roll. Well, not quite, as developer CD Projekt Red is now turning its attention to the follow-up, with the game’s narrative director eager to get started.
