CD Projekt is back with yet another big fix for The Witcher 3's grass

Last week it was revealed that Jimmy 'MrBeast' Donaldson, the most popular YouTuber in the world, had earlier this year launched a lawsuit against his own «revolting» brand of burgers: MrBeast Burgers, operated by the company Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC). VDC fired back in a statement saying the suit was «meritless», that MrBeast is a bully who's «elevated greed over his word and the truth», and has now filed counter-suit, claiming both that the burgers are «excellent» and seeking a nine-figure sum in damages, ie, over $100 million dollars. 

Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski has confirmed he's writing another book in The Witcher series that will presumably continue the story of Geralt of Rivia.

Dead by Daylight is currently hosting the fan-favorite Scorching BBQ event for the first time since 2018.

Eyes might currently be on THQ Nordic's remake of cult-classic action-RPG Gothic, but the company has unexpectedly announced it'll be bringing the two-decade-old original version to Switch on 28th September, with a huge number of fixes.

The Witcher producer Tomasz Bagiński has reacted to the ongoing backlash that the Netflix series has faced for changing details from its source material. As many will be aware, the show is based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s series of books. While it broadly follows these, some elements have been changed, which has been a source of ire from some fans.

One of the most common criticisms of The Witcher on Netflix is that it strays too far from Andrzej Sapkowski's novels. It may have been a source of some tension behind the scenes, too: Former series star Henry Cavill made a point of saying he «pushed really, really hard» to stay true to the books, while also claiming that some of the writers on the show «actively disliked» them. There's no question that some aspects of the novel have been simplified for the TV show, and in an interview with Polish site Wyborcza (translated by Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence), executive producer Tomek Baginski explained why some of those changes were made: "[A] higher level of nuance and complexity will have a smaller range."

There's no shortage of interactive specials on Netflix right now – that is, movies and TV shows that allow you to influence the course of events and choose your own ending by answering questions. 

With the exit of one Witcher actor comes the entrance of another and fans are desperate to get a first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt in season 4. While, at the time of writing, there hasn’t been any official reveal of Hemsworth in costume, fans have taken matters into their own hands with deepfakes and concept art.

Having had even more time to think about it and (like a Christopher Nolan protagonist) do a considerable amount of science on the subject, it pains me to say that part 1 of The Witcher season 3 was in fact Pretty Lousy. This isn’t all that different from what I thought at the time. I’m just even more sure of it now, as the final three episodes arrive on Netflix — which are actually a lot of fun! They don’t magically make season 3 any better, and in fact, might even highlight its shortcomings even further. But it’s got a ton of wizards shooting lasers at each other and some cool sword fights, and that’s not nothing.

Geralt of Rivia, revered monster slayer and banquet-booer, is annoyed. He remains convinced the sorcerers and sorceresses at the ball are hellbent on not-so-shyly making fun of him, a mutant and a freak. Still, he is able to recognize the tension he senses comes from something more — something far more sinister.

The Witcher season 3 has reached an end after two parts and eight episodes, but that doesn’t mean our heroes’ journey across The Continent is over. After violent coups, dangerous plots, secret portals, and plenty of fights, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are all separated, and who knows when they might get back together again.
