A former Gearbox employee's LinkedIn profile may have spilled the beans about two yet-to-be-announced Borderlands games, namely Borderlands 4 and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands 2.
Originally reported at Eurogamer, the former technical director, overseeing a team of 66 employees, mentioned involvement in planning and engineering development for both titles utilizing the Unreal Engine 4. This isn’t altogether surprising as Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has previously hinted at the possibility of a fourth entry in the main Borderlands series. What is surprising, however, is that the LinkedIn details suggest the titles are being developed for UE4, when Randy Pitchford appeared to suggest that the next game in the series would be developed on UE5.
Based on the information we have, it’s difficult to say where exactly these titles are in their development, but we’re hoping to learn more soon.
In separate but related news, reports in September suggest that Gearbox parent company Embrace Group is considering parting with the studio. Gearbox's chief communications officer Dan Hewitt discussed various considerations in an e-mail to staff, including Gearbox's transfer, taking the studio independent, or other options. Hewitt’s e-mail stated that nothing has been decided just yet, but that employees should expect plenty of speculation over the coming weeks.

Back in 2021, Free Radical Design was brought back from the dead to work on a new Timesplitters game. Today, the industry has been hit with more layoffs as news trickles out that Free Radical Design has been shut down by parent company Embracer. This follows a string of studio shut downs by Embracer following a $2bn deal falling through. That includes the closure of Saints Row developer Volition.

Employees at Destiny 2 developer Bungie have said they feel anxious about their current status at the company, following layoffs earlier this year.
It's not fun for developers when trailers leak early for their games, but I imagine even less so when your studio has something new to share as rarely as Rockstar does. The studio planned to premiere the first GTA 6 trailer tomorrow morning. People were so excited about it that thousands were sitting around in the livestream chat 24 hours ahead of time to get hyped about the game. Then, earlier today, the full trailer leaked onto X with an ugly crypto watermark glazed over the center of the screen.
Just a day away from getting our first look at Grand Theft Auto 6, a leak has surfaced that claims to show footage from the upcoming game. As per GTABase.com on Twitter, TikTok account ‘azzarossi' posted a video showing a quick panoramic view and scale of the alleged location GTA 6 is based in — a fictionalised version of Miami aka Vice City. The video also shows a Pißwasser billboard, an in-game beer brand that's been ever-present in GTA games. While the account has since gone private, there is no way to verify whether the footage is real. The important landmarks, however, match with the massive data leak from last year, which exposed over 90 in-development clips into the wild.
Tales of Kenzera: ZAU from Surgent Studios under the EA Originals labels has supposedly leaked ahead of an official announcement.
Oppo gears up for the launch of its highly-anticipated flagship smartphone, the Find X7 Pro, and recent leaks have provided a sneak peek into its camera capabilities. The rumour mills surrounding the device have been churning non-stop for a while now, and the leaked teaser image not only adds fuel to the speculation fire, but also hints at significant camera enhancements. The undisclosed source of the leak refrained from explicitly confirming the image's association with the Find X7 series. However, subtle references to Oppo's forthcoming flagship strongly suggest that the showcased features align with the Find X7 Pro.

With less than two months before the expected announcement of the RTX 40-series Super models, it's being reported that Nvidia is putting a halt to the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti lines. The idea is, of course, that these will be superseded by the 4080 Super and the delightfully named 4070 Ti Super.
Thanksgiving in the United States comes with a number of traditional televised events, but maybe none as seamless and low-key entertaining as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
