A new live-action fan film based on the hit franchise has released a teaser trailer, previewing a new story written about Terry McGinnis.
The new film, titled Batman Beyond: Year One, is from Lumis Entertainment. The trailer for the film features a few mainstay characters from the world of Batman, including Terry McGinnis, The Joker, The Royal Flush Gang, and a few other Easter Eggs.
The film is finished with production, but is currently seeking additional funding in the post-production process. The team behind the movie have launched an Indiegogo campaign looking to raise funds.

Batman Beyond: Year One is written and directed by Michael Yu. Additional credits include Ian Hussey as cinematographer, Jay Kwon as action designer, Susanna Song as costume designer, Marc de Bertier as production designer, Vanessa Lee as super suit factory, Luke Gibleon as sound designer, Alexander Arntzen as composer, Neil Craig and Nick Lund-Ulrich as VFX supervisors, while Gc5 FX is the suit costumer.
“The year is 2050,” the official synopsis of the film reads. “It’s been years since the Batman’s disappearance. Gotham has rebuilt itself as a city of the future, now known as Neo Gotham. It’s booming with neon lights, technology of tomorrow and brand-new villains running the streets in the absence of the caped crusader. "Lovecraftian Stone Age" town builder The Tribe Must Survive hits early access in February
Take the little boy with lancing white eyes from Playdead's Limbo, ruthlessly clone him a few dozen times (an extremely Playdead thing to do) and herd all the clones into a world redolent of Klei's Don't Starve, and you have something like The Tribe Must Survive. Developed by apparent Macbeth fans Walking Tree Games GmbH, and published by Starbreeze, it's a heavily horror-themed tribe management sim with a roguelike campaign loop, set in what the developers are calling the "Lovecraftian Stone Age", with flagrant disregard for my nerves. Suicide Squad Players Notice Interesting Batman Feature
Fans who got to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League ahead of its launch next month have noticed an interesting tidbit about the game’s version of Batman: he will follow the player around the open world of Metropolis as only The Dark Knight can. Rocksteady held a closed alpha test for Suicide Squadback in November, allowing a small group of players to try the game out for themselves while Rocksteady tested its online servers. Rocksteady and WB Games also held a special preview event for Suicide Squad recently, allowing press members and social media influencers to play through the first few hours.
