Fans who got to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League ahead of its launch next month have noticed an interesting tidbit about the game’s version of Batman: he will follow the player around the open world of Metropolis as only The Dark Knight can. Rocksteady held a closed alpha test for Suicide Squadback in November, allowing a small group of players to try the game out for themselves while Rocksteady tested its online servers. Rocksteady and WB Games also held a special preview event for Suicide Squad recently, allowing press members and social media influencers to play through the first few hours.
As its name implies, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League pits players against the brainwashed members of the Justice League, including the one and only Batman. Bruce Wayne’s involvement in Suicide Squad was initially unclear due to the ending of Batman: Arkham Knight, but it would eventually be confirmed that Batman is one of the heroes being controlled by Brainiac — with the late Kevin Conroy reprising his legendary role one final time after his passing in 2022. This in itself is an interesting premise, as it puts players in the role of the Caped Crusader’s target after stepping into his dark mantle during the Batman: Arkham games.
A boss battle against Batman has already been glimpsed in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s many pre-launch trailers, and it seems that The Dark Knight will have an even greater presence than initially thought. Content creator Laajune was one of the few who got to play Suicide Squad during the recent preview event, and they noticed the silhouette of Batman lurking on top of a Wonder Woman statue in the distance while exploring Metropolis. Laajune spotted him again on a nearby rooftop a few moments later, and even caught the Caped Crusader taking off aboard his Batwing.
As any fan of Rocksteady's Arkhamverse games can attest, one of Batman’s hallmarks is his tendency to study his enemies from a distance before challenging them in battle, and it seems that this will be faithfully represented in Suicide Squad. Fans have already gotten the chance to play as The Dark Knight across all four main series Batman: Arkham titles, where one of the primary gameplay tenets was stalking criminals from the shadows using stealth. Judging from Laajune’s shared gameplay footage, Suicide Squad will flip this on its head by casting the player in the unfortunate role of Batman’s prey in the open-world hunting ground of Metropolis.
Some of Suicide Squad’s pre-release trailers have offered a small preview of the tactics Batman will use during the inevitable boss battle with him, such as Scarecrow’s signature Fear Toxin and even what looks like a gun. Now that Rocksteady has lifted some of

A Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has managed to combine various known tricks and glitches to create a cannon that Link can fire remotely. Just like Breath of the Wild before it, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gives players a vast, open-world version of Hyrule to explore and perform various side activities to distract themselves from the game’s primary quest. An extra wrinkle in this is brought about through Tears of the Kingdom’s new crafting mechanics, which allow creative players to scrape together vehicles, weapons, and even shelters to help Link save the kingdom from Ganondorf and his dark forces.

Warning! Batman: Arkham series spoilers ahead. The Joker is back in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and the developers at Rocksteady have just shared some insight into why this new version of the Clown Prince of Crime looks so different from the one from past Arkhamverse games. Although the Joker fatally succumbed to Titan poisoning at the end of 2011’s Batman: Arkham City, there were rumors that Rocksteady was planning to bring the cackling fiend back in some way in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s post-launch DLC.
With just a week away from releasing, a new live-action trailer for the game is out, teasing some hilarious chaos featuring a few famous faces.
Officially, Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League comes out on February 2nd, the same day that another big title arrives from Atlus. But a few days before, on January 30th, a special “early access” period will start for certain gamers to get into the title beforehand. These dates would excite players if they were hyped for the title. But, currently, the hype for the next game by Rocksteady Studios is “mixed” at best. An easy counter to this “mixed hype” would be to see how the reviews turn out and if critics can sway some of them to the developers’ side. Yet, if reports are to be believed, there’s a problem on that end.
is a follow-up to the series from developer Rocksteady Studios, but it doesn't take much more than a glance at the game to realize that it's a substantially different experience overall. Although it's no surprise that playing as a squad of villains will yield a unique bent compared to a stint as the hero, the change in approach goes significantly beyond this basic shift. That being said, there's still a lot of common ground between and for those who enjoyed the past Rocksteady titles.
