Batman's Arkham trilogy--not you, Arkham Origins--is headed to Switch later this year, and ahead of its release, preorders for the Batman: Arkham Trilogy are now available. One of the best superhero franchises on console and PC, Rocksteady's series of Dark Knight games helped define action games in the 2010s and are still incredibly fun to play today.
Batman: Arkham Asylum got the ball rolling with a metroidvania beat-'em-up experience set inside of the walls of the infamous institution, Batman: Arkham City expanded to a large slice of Gotham City that had been turned into a makeshift prison, and Batman: Arkham Knight concluded the trilogy in grand fashion. Plus, you got to finally tear around Gotham in the Batmobile, which is an absolute delight.
All three games feature Batman unleashing his combat, predator, and detective skills, and this bundle also collects all of the DLC that was released for these games after launch. While Arkham Asylum and Arkham City have a fair amount of DLC such as extra costumes, challenge levels, and even a DLC episode that stars Robin, it's Arkham Knight where Rocksteady went all out with post-launch support.
Not only were there dozens of cosmetics available, but the post-launch story saw Batman tangling with several of his supervillains that were left unaccounted for, the rest of the Bat-Family shines in individual episodes, and even Harley Quinn has her moment in the spotlight. On top of that, there were dozens of extra challenge levels added, with the highlight easily being the Batmobile races that were inspired by Batman '66, Batman '89, and Batman Begins.
It's worth noting that we don't know yet what the performance of these games will be like on Switch, although Arkham Asylum and Arkham City should be able to run just fine on the aging Nintendo hardware. Arkham Knight, which was developed on Unreal Engine 3, is more graphically demanding, so it'll be interesting to see how it adapts to the Nintendo hybrid syste, Development is being handled by independent studio Turn Me Up Games, which is best known for titles such as the award-winning It Takes Two, Wayfinder, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 on Switch.
The physical version of Batman: Arkham Trilogy for Nintendo Switch will also only include Arkham Asylum on the cartridge, and comes with download codes for Arkham City and Arkham Knight.

It’s a little ridiculous that, nearly seven years into the Nintendo Switch’s life, we’ve still not seen Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham trilogy release for the platform. Better late than never though, because that will be changing soon. In June, WB Games announced that Batman: Arkham Trilogy would be coming to the Switch this Fall, and now, a specific release date has been announced.
