Batman Arkham Trilogy for Nintendo Switch Gets Launch Trailer

It’s been a rather interesting year for fans of thePokemon franchise. Last year, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was released on Nintendo Switch, and while it was an incredible game in many ways, it also had the buggiest launch in the series’ history. Yes, that was counteracted by the massive amounts of units they sold in the first few days of release, but sales aren’t everything. Fast forward to 2023, and The Pokemon Company announced a two-part DLC called “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” that would take players to all-new areas and give them even more to do in this vast world.

For a lot of people, including myself, Kevin Conroy was the Batman. A lot of you might've known him from the Arkham Trilogy—I myself was first introduced to him via Justice League: Unlimited. He was the voice of Batman for over three decades before he died after a short battle with cancer in November last year, age 66. As spotted by Eurogamer, a tribute has been added to the Batman: Arkham Trilogy, though it's only presently confirmed to be on the Nintendo Switch version. Gamingbible editor Ewan Moore posted a screenshot of the tribute on Twitter, which reads: «In memory of Kevin Conroy.»

Batman: Arkham Knight is being updated next month with the suit worn by Robert Pattinson in last year's film The Batman. Arriving on 15th December 2023, the suit will actually be available first in the new Nintendo Switch version of Batman: Arkham Trilogy, but will then be offered as a free download to PS4 players and PS5 owners using backwards compatibility.

Fans have spotted a tribute to Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy in the Arkham Trilogy on Switch.

For better or worse, the Nintendo Switch version of the includes many changes from the games' original versions. The series actually consists of four primary games released between 2009 and 2015:,,, and. The Switch collection includes three of the above, leaving out the prequel .

Last week, the Batman: Arkham trilogy zipped onto the Nintendo Switch at long last, bringing Kevin Conroy's turn as the iconic Dark Knight to the world of handheld. There is one extra addition to the game, with, with Warner Bros. Games adding a tribute in his memory to the end credits. following his passing in November 2022.

December is here, and that means some of you might be going for video games that are “on your wishlist” or possibly thinking about getting games that you weren’t sure about before but want to take a chance on since there are no big releases across the main systems for this month. There was one release that kicked off December, though, and that’s the Batman Arkham Trilogy for Nintendo Switch. The port of the beloved Rocksteady games had gamers curious, if nothing else, when it was announced. But when you see the comparisons to other systems, it seems the Switch port has once again come up short.

Batman Arkham Knight and embarrassing ports are terms that seem to go hand in hand, as those who played the PC version of the game at launch know well, but it seems like the final entry in the series by Rocksteady reached a new low with the recently released Nintendo Switch port.

Even though it's a pretty great game, Batman: Arkham Knight has a very rough history when it comes to its performance. It ran so badly on PC back at launch that developer Rocksteady Studios had to delist the title to fix the issues and apologize to fans for its release. Fast-forward over eight years, and it seems as though Rocksteady hasn't learned its lesson, as Arkham Knight is reportedly "unplayable" on the Nintendo Switch.
