Todd Howard says Bethesda wants Elder Scrolls 6 to be "the ultimate fantasy-world simulator," although he won't say exactly how the developers will accomplish that just yet.

Baldur's Gate III is arguably the game of the summer, and it isn't even out on consoles yet. Developer Larian Studios has taken a "it'll be out when it's ready" approach to releasing the game on various platforms. After becoming an instant hit on Windows when it came out of early access earlier this month, Baldur's Gate III will land on PlayStation 5 and macOS on September 6th. The exact Xbox release date is still unclear, but Larian has finally confirmed the massive RPG will come to Microsoft's consoles later this year.

Throughout Baldur's Gate 3, you will spend time with a strange skeleton at camp. He's called Withers, and not much is known about him other than the fact he can respec your class and summon the dead to fight for you. But given his scene at the end of the game and the tomb you find him in, there's clearly more to Withers than meets the eye.

Earlier this week, a YouTuber called Mae blew the Baldur's Gate 3 speedrunning community wide open, despite most of us still being engrossed by the first act. Upon discovering an exploit that uses Gale to cast Enhance Leap, Mae hopped her way to the game's final credits in a startingly short ten minutes and three seconds, mostly thanks to a cop-out ending you can take that skips the game's entire third act.

I'd never felt so out of place in Baldur's Gate 3 than earlier this week, when I finally stepped onto the streets of Baldur's Gate and promptly became the most grotesque creature in the city. Act 2 had done a real number on my party, and you could smell it from a mile away: my face was caked with blood both dry and fresh, cheeks bruised purple, and armor smeared with a hummus of mud, blood, and viscera.

Someone has completed Baldur's Gate 3, from start to credit roll, in just over ten minutes. Yes, ten minutes. A game with a 35.5 hour main story, 94 hours for a completionist run according to How Long to Beat, and it was over so fast I couldn't tell what was going on.
