Astarion emerged as one of the huge fan favorites after the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, and this player has chosen to pay tribute to him in an extremely unique way.
The characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 have struck a chord with fans like few other video game casts in recent memory. As a result, there have been many unique pieces of fan art since the game’s release, celebrating all of the characters, heroes and villains alike. Recently, one player even created a Baldur’s Gate 3 Orin doll, which gave the character a Tim Burton-style makeover. Players will be paying tribute to this cast of characters for many years to come, and it’ll be interesting to see how creative the fanbases are able to get with it.
Redditor Special-Chemical-124 shared the impressive piece of artwork, which they dubbed “Bartstarion.” It’s an impressive blend of Astarion from Baldur’s Gate 3’s hair and outfit, combined with the face of Bart Simpson. It takes extreme talent to be able to depict two characters in one and have them both be instantly recognizable, but that’s absolutely the case here. According to the user, the artwork took around two hours, and they’re planning to do even more crossovers between The Simpsons and Baldur’s Gate 3 in the future.
Gamers in the thread responded to the piece by combining quotes from the two characters, with a particular highlight being “Don’t have a cow, darling.” Given the amount of amazing Astarion quotes from Baldur’s Gate 3, there’s certainly no lack of options.
