Ubisoft Massive has released two updates for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora this month, introducing several improvements to combat and exploration in the open world game while also fixing artifacts that appeared when using AMD FSR 3 on PC. Here's an overview shared by the development team:
Increased maximum Direhorse riding speed
Harvest while riding - It is now possible to harvest Arrow Stick Bushes and Dapophet Pods while riding a Direhorse.
Direhorse aiming improved - Improved aiming with bows while mounted.
Access stash while crafting - Stashed items can now be accessed directly when using the
Crafting Table, Cooking Station and Community Basket.
Increased stash size - Stash capacity has been increased from 200 to 250.
Improved time skip - Added the time of day in the prompt text when interacting with the Fire Pit to pass time.
Improved haptics - Several improvements to haptic effects throughout Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
More reliable weakpoints - Increased the hitbox size of the AMP Suits' vent weak spots so they’re easier to hit while remaining in stealth.
Improved stealth detection - Slowed down the time it takes for an enemy unit to alert the rest of the nearby units of the player's presence.
Quicker return to stealth - Made tweaks to stealth gameplay to make it easier to return to stealth when an enemy spots the player.
Improved reinforcements calling - Made tweaks to enemy reinforcement calling to make it easier to interrupt the RDA from pressing the alarm. Only one enemy unit can call for reinforcements at any given time.
Made Easy difficulty even easier - Made the combat challenge on Medium and Low difficulties more accessible.
There are also new motion blur settings to control the effect's intensity, and the PC benchmark is now more accurate.

The game launched in December, earning a 7.5 score in Wccftech's review where Nathan Birch criticized the combat:
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora pulls you in with its dazzling world, then pushes you away its frustrating combat. After a play session I 80 percent enjoyed, I’d leave with a sour taste in my mouth after repeatedly banging my head against some maddening RDA outpost. If you can handle this push and pull, there is plenty to enjoy here. Frontiers of Pandora’s main campaign will take you around 20 hours, more if you’re easily distracted, and 100 percenting the game is at least a 40-hour effort. Whether you’ll actually want to explore until your face is blue is up to you.

As the first new mainline entry in Square Enix’s Mana series in nearly twenty years, Visions of Mana is a game that may have had their eye on since its announcement late last year, and excitement surrounding it has only grown with each new promising showing since then. Recently, a number of outlets had the chance to go hands-on with the action RPG, following which more new gameplay footage has emerged.
RTGI, not to be confused with NVIDIA's RTXGI SDK which was recently updated to version 2.0, is Pascal Gilcher's famous ReShade screen space ray tracing shader. The German graphics modder and former NVIDIA employee rose to fame when he released it in May 2019, providing PC gamers with an easy way to improve the lighting of older games at an acceptable performance cost.
Dragon's Dogma 2 has been blessed with some notable improvements via its first post-launch update. With patch 1.050, Capcom has implemented several graphics settings on PS5, and we're happy to report that the open world RPG has taken a decent step in the right direction.
Today is the day that Diablo IV gets its ray tracing update, which was developed in collaboration with NVIDIA. Blizzard has released a detailed explanation of each improved effect, starting with shadows.
About a month ago, the Game Developers Conference 2024 schedule unveiled a new technology called Microsoft DirectSR. As one could easily guess from its name (Direct SuperResolution), it's an attempt to make the implementation of upscalers easier, and it was built in collaboration with all of the main CPU and GPU vendors (NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel).
AMD has announced its latest FidelityFX Super Resolution technology update in the form of FSR 3.1 which will enable Frame generation on 3rd party upscaling solutions.
With its early access release window set, Heart Machine’s Hyper Light Breaker has received some new pre-alpha gameplay courtesy of Game Informer. Combat is the biggest focus against different enemies, but plenty of exploration is also showcased. Check it out below.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has arrived, and the game is a bit of beast on pretty much any hardware you’ll play it on. Not only is it a “dynamic” 30fps on current-gen consoles (in other words, often under 30fps) but not even a high end PCs are free from troubles – Wccftech’s reviewer Alessio Palumbo had issues despite rocking an RTX 4090 and a Ryzen 7800X3D. A lack of promised DLSS 3 at launch also means there are limited ways to smooth over the problems.
As anticipated earlier this month, the PC version of The Last of Us Part I has been updated to version 1.1.3 to add support for AMD FSR 3 Super Resolution and Frame Generation.
We suspect the vast majority of our readers will have moved on to the PS5 by now, but there are still millions upon millions of lingering PS4 users around the world. Sony has remained committed to the console, despite it now being over a decade old, and earlier this week it released a brand-new firmware update which actually makes some improvements to the user experience.
