An Update on This Year’s BlizzCon and Blizzard’s 2024 Live Events

With STALKER 2 long-awaited release scheduled for later this year, there’s been an unsurprising spike in interest surrounding the original trilogy which debuted on PC almost two decades ago. Capitalising on this curiosity, Ukrainian publisher GSC recently launched STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, bringing the three games to Xbox and PlayStation for the first time.

The studio behind 2019’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has just released the surprising news that a massive update is headed to the game next week. Update 1.5 will bring new cosmetic packs and two new multiplayer game modes to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

The most recent of these teases came during today’s ID@Xbox indie showcase, which gave us a peek at what we can expect from the game’s big summer update. The teaser showed off four new Pokemon-esque Pals, as well as a flamethrower weapon. It's been a while since we've had an official update on Starfield's long-awaited Shattered Space story DLC, which was first revealed even before the game launched last September. Thankfully, Starfield director Todd Howard was on hand to give us an official release window, as he recently revealed in an interview during the most recent Kinda Funny Gamescast that Shattered Space is currently scheduled to release this Fall.

Apple is reportedly gearing up to unveil the next iteration of the iPad Pro, potentially skipping the M3 chipset and leaping ahead to the forthcoming M4, touted to be infused with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Merely months have passed since Apple introduced the M3 family of chipsets, integrated into its iMac, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro. Yet, sources suggest the tech titan might swiftly pivot towards the M4, boasting a robust neural engine to enhance its AI capabilities.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that has been canceled, although the company does have plans for future live events this year. While there won’t be an in-person or digital BlizzCon event for this year, Blizzard promises the event will return in future years, although it may have a different format.

Blizzard has announced that there is no plans for BlizzCon in 2024, but there will be global in-person events to celebrate Warcraft's 30th Anniversary. After careful consideration over the last year, we at Blizzard have made the decision not to hold BlizzCon in 2024. This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you look forward to it.
