AMD is planning several Ryzen 5000 CPUs for the AM4 platform including the Ryzen 7 5700X3D & Ryzen 5 5500X3D which launch in early 2024.
Based on the alleged information leak by Persian Outlet, sakhtafzarmag, it looks like the AM4 CPU platform still has a lot of gas in it as AMD is likely preparing at least five brand new SKUs which will include the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Ryzen 5 5600X3D, Ryzen 5 5600GT, Ryzen 5 5500GT and the Ryzen 7 5700.
Coming to the specifications, we first have the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D which will be a slightly toned-down version of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D with the same 8 cores, 16 threads but lower clock speeds of 3.0 GHz (Base) and 4.1 GHz (Boost). This chip will offer 96 MB of L3 cache and retain the same 105-watt TDP. As for the Ryzen 5 5500X3D, you are getting 6 cores, 12 threads, a base clock of 3.0 GHz, boost clocks of up to 4.0 GHz, and the same 96 MB of L3 cache.
The clock speeds for both chips are obviously going to be lower than the non-X3D parts since the first-gen 3D V-Cache chip had more restricted power and thermal limits than the 2nd Gen Ryzen 7000 CPUs which went on to offer some tuning capabilities. The 5700X3D is around 400 MHz lower clocked versus the 5800X3D while the 5500X3D is 300 MHz slower in terms of base and 400 MHz slower in terms of boost frequencies.
These new SKUs will ensure that mainstream audiences stick with AM4 for a good while and enjoy the gaming performance uplift offered by the addition of 3D V-Cache tech. Besides the SKUs, it may look like AMD is planning to replace its existing Ryzen 5 5600G APU with the Ryzen 5 5600GT & the Ryzen 5 5500GT. The "GT" naming is definitely new in the Ryzen APU family and it is likely that the two chips will offer a slight upgrade. There's also the Ryzen 7 5700 which is expected to be a entry-level 8-core SKU and this is going to be a standard CPU affair based on the Zen 3 core architecture.
All of these new chips are said to be released by the end of January so we might also see them being unveiled with the Ryzen 8000G AM5 Desktop APU family but hitting retail shelves in early February.
