Alan Wake 2 Reveals New Character, an FBC Agent Played by Janina Gavankar

A Remedy dev has come online to reassure fans that Alan Wake 2 will run great on consoles.

Remedy Entertainment has been working for years to get a sequel for Alan Wake. It took quite a bit of time, but eventually, they were able to settle on a project. We’re just a week out now from its release, and if you’re looking to play this game on the PC platform, you might want to make sure your rig can run it. With the game also nearing its release, the folks at Remedy Entertainment have released a new graphic highlighting the PC system requirements you might need to ensure the game is running optimally. 

Remedy Entertainment has been working hard to get a sequel out for Alan Wake. It took years before it finally came to fruition, and now, for fans, we’re a week out. It might be hard for some to imagine we’re just a week away from Alan Wake 2 since we’ve waited years for a new installment. But soon, we’ll be venturing back to Bright Falls and attempting to free Alan from the Dark Place. That said, you might be keen on knowing when you’ll be able to play the game. Fortunately, the official confirmation times have been unveiled.

The folks over at Remedy Entertainment have been pushing for an Alan Wake sequel. It took the development studio years to get the project off the ground. So this passion project is now gearing up for a release this month. Of course, if you’re keen on picking this game up, you might be trying to steer clear from any spoilers. Meanwhile, those who want a bit more insight into the game could be persuaded to check out the achievements. Fortunately, it looks like some of the achievements have been published.

Leading up to the October 27 release date for Alan Wake 2, developer Remedy has worked with Epic Games to create a playable recap for the original Alan Wake. The 20-minute recap can be played through Fortnite, and serves as a refresher for the events of the original game.

Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake: Flashback might help, though, as it's a new Unreal Editor for Fortnite experience that gives players the chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit presumably in a much shorter and more streamlined fashion.
