Alan Wake 2 isn’t just going to take the series’ story forward- as the next instalment in the shared universe that includes both Control and Alan Wake, called the Remedy Connected Universe, the upcoming survival horror sequel is also going to further expand that universe, and even set the stage for Control 2. That, of course, means we can expect to see narrative elements that will tie in directly with Remedy Entertainment’s acclaimed 2019 title- one of which has been formally unveiled.
Remedy Entertainment has revealed a new character that will have a role to play in Alan Wake 2. Named Kiran Estevez and played by Janina Gavankar (known for Star Wars Battlefront 2, Forspoken), she is an agent of the Federal Bureau of Control, an agency that Control fans will be very familiar with.
According to Remedy, during the events of Alan Wake 2, the FBC’s headquarters is currently shut down “due to an internal emergency” – in all likeliness a reference to the events of Control and their fallout – as a result of which, Agent Estevez has been “left with little support or assistance”.
At the same time, however, that means she’s also calling her own shots now, and as she and her team continue to try and “contain every paranatural occurrence”, she will be driven to “do the right thing, and protect those that need it most.”
Alan Wake 2 is due out on October 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Remedy has confirmed that though it will feature a Performance Mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X, that won’t be the case on Xbox Series S.

We’re just a week out now from its release, and if you’re looking to play this game on the PC platform, you might want to make sure your rig can run it. With the game also nearing its release, the folks at Remedy Entertainment have released a new graphic highlighting the PC system requirements you might need to ensure the game is running optimally.
Remedy Entertainment has been working hard to get a sequel out for Alan Wake. It took years before it finally came to fruition, and now, for fans, we’re a week out. It might be hard for some to imagine we’re just a week away from Alan Wake 2 since we’ve waited years for a new installment. But soon, we’ll be venturing back to Bright Falls and attempting to free Alan from the Dark Place. That said, you might be keen on knowing when you’ll be able to play the game. Fortunately, the official confirmation times have been unveiled.
The folks over at Remedy Entertainment have been pushing for an Alan Wake sequel. It took the development studio years to get the project off the ground. So this passion project is now gearing up for a release this month. Of course, if you’re keen on picking this game up, you might be trying to steer clear from any spoilers. Meanwhile, those who want a bit more insight into the game could be persuaded to check out the achievements. Fortunately, it looks like some of the achievements have been published.
Developer Remedy Entertainment has released a new video on the way to Alan Wake 2‘s release later this month. The video offers up a recap of the events of the original Alan Wake to help players that may not have played the predecessor to the upcoming horror title. Check it out below.
Who had ‘playable remake of Alan Wake inside Fortnite’ on their 2023 bingo card? Nobody? Well, nevermind: either way, you can now relive the events of Remedy’s battery-powered horror game before its sequel comes out later this month.
Leading up to the October 27 release date for Alan Wake 2, developer Remedy has worked with Epic Games to create a playable recap for the original Alan Wake. The 20-minute recap can be played through Fortnite, and serves as a refresher for the events of the original game.
Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, on October 27, and while there's still time to replay (or play for the first time) Alan Wake before its sequel is out, October is a stacked month, and time might not be on your side. Alan Wake: Flashback might help, though, as it's a new Unreal Editor for Fortnite experience that gives players the chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit presumably in a much shorter and more streamlined fashion.
In an unexpected fusion of gaming franchises, Epic Games announced Alan Wake: Flashback, a new Fortnite experience that revisits Remedy Entertainment's 2010 cult classic.
It’s almost time for Alan Wake 2, but if you haven’t played the original (or if you’d like to replay it before you jump into the sequel) you can get Alan Wake, as well as seven other spooky games, for $13.
The much-anticipated release of Alan Wake 2 is just around the corner, with its launch date set for October 27, perfectly timed for the Halloween season. As the excitement builds among fans, the game’s developer, Remedy Entertainment, is ensuring that the thrill doesn’t stop after the initial release. In recent updates, gamers have received some fantastic news, including the addition of a Performance Mode that will render the game at a smooth 60FPS. But the good news doesn’t end there – Sam Lake, the Director of Remedy Entertainment, has officially confirmed that Alan Wake 2 will receive both free and paid post-launch DLC, promising even more excitement in the Alan Wake universe.
