Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits winter update now available, adds new game mode Net Sniper

Konami has released the version 1.4.0 update for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Switch versions of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. The update first launched for the PC version on December 20, 2023.

Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have released the version 1.03 update for Fate/Samurai Remnant, which adds the new difficulty levels “Apprentice” and “Fatal Sword,” and the ability to play as Rogue Servants and other teams in “Battle Recollections.”

Along with announcing 13 million players for Starfield to date, Bethesda Game Studios revealed its post-launch plans for the title heading into 2024. It already confirmed “all-new ways” to travel and city maps, and starting in February, it will target updates roughly every six weeks. They will add new features and content with quality-of-life improvements.

Today Bethesda posted a recap of the year Starfield has had in the form of a few fun facts: in 2023 players visited a collective 1.9 billion planets, spent 26 million hours building ships, and ate more than 18 million battlemeal multipacks. (Weirdly, no sandwich tally was provided.)

In what looks like its last Starfield post for the year, Bethesda's committed to big changes for the RPG in 2024, revisiting promised quality-of-life features and doubling down on new gameplay options ahead of the RPG's first confirmed expansion, Shattered Space. 

Remnant 2's first DLC dropped a short while ago—and it's a pretty good romp. It adds a whole new area to explore, a new class, and some new gear to grab—it also enhances Losomn as a whole, since having the DLC lets its areas and bosses crop up during your randomised runs of the main campaign.

Remedy Entertainment has released a new update for Alan Wake 2, which is live on all platforms. It fixes an issue where players couldn’t pick up Saga’s inventory capacity upgrades in two locations. More importantly, it corrects some issues with New Game Plus (introduced in The Final Manuscript update).

Publisher rokaplay an developer FIRECHICK have released the version 1.1 update for Super Dungeon Maker, which adds a new character skin, new dungeon themes, new enemies, new cosmetics, and more.

Publisher United Label and developer Odd Bug Studio have released the “Bright Fir Forest” update for hand-drawn adventure RPG Tails of Iron, which adds 13 new quests, 14 new bosses, 96 new weapons and armor, and more.

God of War Ragnarok’s hotly anticipated free DLC expansion Valhalla, due out later today, will add more Trophies to the game – although they’ll be listed separately from the campaign, so you won’t need to worry about them if you haven’t earned the Platinum just yet. Writing on Twitter, game director Mihir Sheth confirmed the tidbit.

Publisher Square Enix Collective and developer FuturLab have released PowerWash Simulator “Santa’s Workshop” update for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will launch for Switch on January 8, 2024.
