A whisper of hope: a cryptic Belgian McDonald's promotion has spawned a flurry of desperate MultiVersus hype from abandoned players

Players of the popular extraction shooter Escape from Tarkov have been reporting lengthy loading times after the most recent game wipe.

It's been a big few days for Escape From Tarkov fans, as developer Battlestate Games has pushed out the game's latest wipe, which essentially resets the servers and puts all players back to square one. Battlestate has used this wipe to implement Patch 0.14, which has added a new map, a new boss, and various other bits of loot. However, there's only one addition that players are talking about right now.

McDonald's 2023 promotion added special cards featuring a selection of characters from the Paldea region that were introduced with in 2022. The fast-food giant has held eight promotions for in the past and its cards can include a special confetti-style holofoil pattern unique to McDonald's. Although the cards are difficult to come by due to a rush of fans wanting to collect them all, this also means that often the Happy Meal event cards can be valued higher and make for fun additions to any collection.

I'm not normally in a rush to post marketing videos in which developers talk about how great their new game is, but I need all the help I can get in understanding Metaphor: ReFantazio. The new RPG from the makers of Persona looks stylish, dense, exciting, and almost entirely baffling in its trailers, so 14 minutes of the folks from Atlus just describing it is welcome.

At The Game Awards 2023, Digital Extremes confirmed the final release date for Warframe's Whispers in the Walls update. Players will get the free patch on Wednesday, December 13, and it'll also mark the start of the long-awaited cross-save rollout.
