A new Tekken 8 character and closed beta test have been announced

From Southeast Asia, online game publisher PlayPark has launched over 180 PC and mobile games since 2001. Working for Asiasoft Corporation Public Company Limited, they have employees in six countries and are managing over 29 games. They cover a wide range of genres, like MMORPGs, SRPGs, FPSs and MOBAs. Examples include MapleStory SEA and Ragnarok Mobile. Recently, PlayPark released a statement announcing the closed beta test of their newest game, Black Moon SEA. The test is scheduled for October 12 and October 16, 2023, at 12 pm and 12 am GMT respectively. PlayPark invites players to explore and save an amazing world shrouded in darkness.

Every unionized Dragon Age: Dreadwolf quality assurance (QA) tester has been laid off. 

Last year, all 16 of the QA devs at Keywords Studios Edmonton held a unanimous and historic vote to become the first games industry union in Canada. Unfortunately, just over one year later, they were laid off.

All of Keywords Studios’ unionized QA workers were laid off from the studio in late September after Dragon Age: Dreadwolf developer BioWare declined to continue its contract in August.

It was hinted at in the game's latest trailer, but now it's been confirmed through an official press release: Persona 3 Reload will feature all-new story scenes and additional character interactions. Overall, the remake will obviously stick to the original plot, but it sounds like Atlus has taken this opportunity to expand upon all sorts of stuff, such as Strega — the antagonist group.

The PS Plus October Essential games have been confirmed by Sony, with the October line up having a suitably scary and weird feel. This follows last month’s though, as Sony announced PS Plus price increases that came into effect on 6th September, raising prices 20% in the UK, 26% in Europe and a staggering 33% in the US.

CD Projekt RED has announced that it will be disabling mods for the Steam and Epic Games Store versions of Cyberpunk 2077 thanks to release of the Phantom Liberty expansion for the game. Making the announcement on X, the company stated that it did this to make sure that mods don’t break the expansion. The GOG version, on the other hand, will keep the player’s original mod settings intact.

At EVE Fanfest, PC Gamer had the chance to sit down with EVE Online's game director Snorri Árnason for a wide-ranging conversation about where the game has been in recent years and where it's going. But in terms of big announcements, Fanfest's highlight for many EVE fans wasn't the main game itself, but CCP's return to the FPS with EVE Vanguard, a PvPvE looter-shooter that links to EVE Online itself and is a successor to 2013's ill-fated Dust 514.

The Epic Games Store’s next free titles have been confirmed.

A brand new trailer for Build A Rocket Boy’s EVERYWHERE just landed, and it’s been confirmed that closed alpha testing will commence soon, too. 

TheTekken franchise may grow and evolve, adding new features and mechanics, but one thing is for sure: Panda will always find a way in. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Panda will be playable in Tekken 8. There’s no trailer yet, but her profile is available on the game’s official roster page.

Bandai Namco recently announced a new closed beta for Tekken 8 from October 20th to 23rd. Fortunately, it isn’t the same closed network test from July. Players can partake in Ranked and group matches, spectate, chat in the Tekken Fight Lounge and even customize avatars. There’s also a Battle Tutorial.
